I have heard of people naming their flutes...but I don't know of anyone, personally, who has named their flute...I'm thinking about giving my flutes names, but Idk what a good name is. ^-^

They have cheesy names so I can tell them apart. I have four. 1.the crapy one is called my crap flute(it was my first flute...and bought off of ebay) 2.the flute i use for marching band...marching flute(makes sense) 3.my backup for marching band that is fairly new...uh, i dont have a name for that...yet 4.and my lovely intermediate, open-hole and gold lip plated flute...my ensemble flute or concert flute. Not interesting names but they are named

my friend (who plays the clarinet) named mine. it's linda rose. she used a phone book and found two names and put them together. lawl

I have never named any of my instruments...but I'm thinking of naming them. I call my marching flute...my marching flute. and I call my really nice sterling silver, gold lip plated, open-holed, amazing design around every single key...my new flute or my nice flute. My sax...is called my amazing step-up, better than all the rest of the sax player sax's sax.

YES! Of course I name my flute! It makes it more mine! Bob the flute, Joe the Oboe, Vile the Violin, Paul and Kim the Piano! Naming instruments is fun!
