Character: Caitlin Crowe

Mimicry
At the age of sixteen, Caitlin first and only mutant power activated and flared out while she and her mother were at military camp. At first she passed the episode for being a mere blackout, not knowing that it was her mutant ability acting up. Professor Charles Xavier and Logan had come to the camp to deal with a mutant attack at a nearby camp. Her blackout had happen within moments of meeting Logan and Xavier. Because of this blackout both mutant were demanded to leave, the military believe they attack her. A few days later Caitlin would be hit by car, head on, and badly hurt to the point that doctors believe that she would die in few hours after being admitted. Instead, six hours later, Caitlin awoke and found herself completely healed. She now knew she was mutant and fearing rejection from her family, friends, and life she ran away from it all. Caitlin did not know that it was another power in her that gave her this new found healing ability at this time.
This power will never be able to be controlled by Caitlin and the power is self running, able to turn on and off at its own accord. This ability also takes a considerable amount of energy from Caitlin and a places huge toll on her body. Because of this, Caitlin can become unconscious within a few seconds to a minute after the power activates and remain unconscious for days or weeks later as the power insure that the mutant power it is copying is copied correctly. This power tends to be very picky and does not react to every mutant that comes in close contact with Caitlin. It seems to only go for strong and older mutants that have a great mastery of their powers or mutants that have rare and unique abilities. Also this power can sometimes be called or related to her immunity, that is solo purpose is to insure that she lives, thus, taking abilities that can make sure she is strong enough to survive.
When this power activates a feeling of extreme exhaustion hits as all the veins and arteries bulged out turning from blue to green and vice versa as the power remains active. Sometimes it appears that the veins and arteries are crawling just beneath her skin across her body as her mutant power beings to copy the mutant’s power. This power does zero harm to mutant that is coping its power from. It is still unsure of how the power is able to copy another mutant power without direct contact or any exchange of any kind.
According to Beast, when in the presence of a powerful mutant, Caitlin Mimicry power can sometime copy multiple powers. It would explain Caitlin’s powers, acquired both by Magneto and Xavier, where her powers copied two of the mutant’s abilities.
Weather Witch
Three months after running away from her life Caitlin met up with a former xmen named Storm. After being frightened by Caitlin sudden blackout before her, Storm took Caitlin into her care until she woke up. Believing her to be mutant, Storm wished for her to go to Xavier School of Higher Learning so she could be protected and given a chance at a new life. It was then that Caitlin began to learn a few things about her Mimicry power and how she acquired her healing abilities. A few weeks would past by as Storm would travel up through Canada as they made their way to Xavier school. During this time, Storm spent every free moment she had to train Caitlin in how to master her new weather abilities. However, this time was short lived and after two days of traveling in Canada, they were attacked and Storm was killed before Caitlin was truly kidnapped.
Caitlin has great control over this ability for her short about of time with it thus far. However her stamina is constantly shifting about. While her control is good, her stamina is completely reliant on how close she is to her target and what type of weather ability she is performing. Creating rain and mist are child’s play for her but something like a tornado can be a bit trickier for her to perform and maintain.
Her eyes do not turn white when she beings to perform her weather controlling abilities. Caitlin is more prone to being in the center of her attacks, preferring to be at their heart where she has the strongest control over them.
Physic Blasts
Three years would pass by after Caitlin was kidnapped but only one year would pass by when her capture found out about her ability. Another mutant has been thrown into a cell with her. Her power immediately sent her into a coma-like state for two weeks as her ability copied her new cell mate’s power. When she came too, she found herself alone once more and with a new found ability and with new found interests in her from her capture.
Caitlin is now able to generate vast amounts of physic energy into solid forms of various shapes and sizes. She tends to generate the energy into the shapes of a weapon called a Sai. Purple and glowing in aura-like fields, this physic energy forms from her hands and rest directly on the top of her hands when they are balled into a loose fist. This power can either stun, injury, or kill at the mere tightening of her fist that will shot a blast of this energy at the intended target.
This is considered Caitlin best attack power and most used. It is also considered her best controlled and she able to perform this power with ease and for long duration of time. The toll on her body to perform this ability is very small. However, there is a small problem with this power. Caitlin prefers to use this ability up close and personal, for like any range weapon it is hard to attack something that is far off and/or moving. She still has grown far better at hitting her targets. Usually it only takes once, if she judges her opponents power level correctly.
Sonic Flight:
----) Flight: Caitlin will learn this ability after being freed by the xmen. She would meet a woman named Rogue back at the mansion she now teaches and lives in. Because of her passing out when her ability activates she would then have xmen and Xavier expose to what she could do. Because of this she would soon become very knowledgeable to the extents to her power.
Caitlin really has no clue on how she performs this ability other than simply taking off. Like her power knows what she wants it immediately activates, allowing her to fly without aid. Caitlin is still in the process of becoming good flier. She is able to perform as well as Rogue but has problems the faster she goes. The faster she attempts to perform her aerobatics the harder they become and the greater her chances of crashing increase. Caitlin has learn that twisting her body and moving her arms and legs in a certain way help her to balance her out and move her through the air with ease. This doesn’t seem to apply for Rogue flying ability.
----) Super Sonic Flight: Caitlin was never sure why her powers reacted to a certain mutant that was brought before her until she met Rogue. When her capture found out about her mutant power he began to bring multiple mutants before her in an attempt to study the power of hers more closely. Caitlin would soon find out that her power copied the mutants Sonic Flight ability, allowing her to break the sound barrier and more when she was flying after being freed from her prison. However, after a few attempts and crash landings, Caitlin has decided to stay away from her more advanced from of flying for the mean time. She still has a hard time turning at such speeds.
This power is activated after sending a rush of adrenaline through her systems. Also it activates when she attempt to take off rather quickly. Caitlin has to make sure her take offs are slow in the beginning before speeding up because sometimes she mix the two powers up.
Telepathy:
----)Mind Reading: This power was dormant for a bit after Caitlin mimicry powers copied it from Xavier when he came to the camp where she discovered she was a mutant. It is still unclear as to why the power remained inaccessible to her until after the second year in the hands of her capture. She believed it was to spare her from the sadistic minds she was surrounded by, to protect her in some form of a way. Still, this power has become her best non-attack power. Unlike most Telepaths, Caitlin is unable to attack with this power. However, she is able to speak mentally with other people, telepathic or not, with this ability, as well as read minds.
This ability does not drain Caitlin unless she trying to read a mind over a great distance. Speaking mentally over a great distance seems to not bother her that much. Still, like her weather power, she tends to be in a close vicinity of her target when reading its mind.
----) Memory Alteration: Caitlin also has the ability to alter one’s memory, also copied from Xavier. She prefers not to, not wanting to invade another’s mind or see what they have done if the person is bad. After being kidnapped, Caitlin tends to refrain from using this ability. Now freed, Caitlin still doesn’t really wish to look into someone mind all the much into great detail. She has become very protective her mind, most likely due to all the pain and damage she received while being capture.
The toll of using this power can be great, very great. It is hard for her to use the power for long period of time and even harder when she is attacking another telepathic that puts up a fight.
Healing Factor:
----) Healing Others: Caitlin was granted the ability to heal others right before she met Storm. A young doctor had found her and immediately recognized her from the news. He was a mutant and knew her fears. Because of this he offered to allow her to stay at his home until she was ready to face the world again. At this time Caitlin was still unaware of her mutant power and when she was close enough to him, she collapsed. This doctor was a mutant with the ability to heal others around him. When she came too and found out how long she was out, Caitlin panicked and ran away. The fact that mutant protestors were threatening the doctors, which was able to keep his power a secret, life if he didn’t get rid of her only fueled her want to run away once more. Caitlin didn’t give him the chance to make up his mind before leaving anyway.
She has learned to master this power, rather quickly and oddly, from Beast after being allowed to live in Xavier school. Caitlin is able to fully heal a body; the time it takes however can vary greatly. Beast has said that her stress and fears greatly inhabit the speed of her ability but not its strength. Also, Beast believes that Caitlin can bring one back from the dead if she can get to body fast enough after it has fallen. Using her weather powers and healing abilities together can be able to revive a person. However, Caitlin has tried to bring back humans that have gotten in the middle of a crossfire before and has no such luck in bring them back to life. Beast has become convince that the small opening for between death and revival is extremely small, and if not reach, then the person will be unable to be revived.
The power flows from her hand when activate. At first it pulse on and off a couple of time before becoming a steady flowing stream of white rain that soaks the target wound.
----) Healing Self: This power was acquired by Logan when he and Xavier came to camp Caitlin’s mother was station at. After feeling faint coming across them in the hallway, resulting later in two days of being bedridden, Caitlin left the building where the two mutants were at immediately after. Because of this Xavier or Logan did not know of her existents or presences and was unaware of her power activating. She left just in time before she passed out.
This power is completely out of Caitlin control, much like her Mimicry power. It activates the moment her body receives any sort of physical harm. It doesn’t heal any mental damage or restores energy or stop exhaustion for none of these are physical elements. Her healing power are said to be, by Beast, stronger than that of Logan’s but far slower than his. She can take more damage and not have her healing power be shot but it will be a slow process for her to heal completely. Logan powers however, are very fast but can easily be over run and cancel out for a time being. This sometimes can lead to be fatal but so far Logan had not come across an experience that burns out his healing powers.
Metal Manipulation:
----) Magnetic Field: A power acquired by the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants. It is unknown as to how Caitlin acquired this power. It seem though that Magneto might hold the key to that lost memory.
This is Caitlin only defensive type of power. Able to draw the magnetic particles from her surroundings she can create a shield strong enough to stop bullets or even strong mutant related attacks. While Caitlin’s shield can be extremely strong, her lack of control makes the shield strength very patchy. She has a very hard time equally distributing the strength of her shield out evenly. Because of this she tends to have the front of her shield as the strong part of it while the other sides are far weaker. At the moment she cannot evenly make a shield that is the same strength all around so she usually creates a small wall or portions of a shield that can be just big enough to protect one side or portions of her body when needed.
----) Metal Telekinesis: Same as her Magnetic Field.
Caitlin has an amazing amount of control of this power and just about same amount of stamina to use it. However, her strength is limited, because of this, she unable to lift things that are extremely heavy in weight. Currently she can only lift things with out to much strain with a range around four hundred pounds total. This power can easily be mistaken for normal telekinesis but it is not so. Caitlin is only able to move items that have a metal element to or in them. Also with this ability she can take a raw and pure metal form and alter it into a different shape for her uses. Caitlin is known for keeping some form of metal on her person at all times and to have private dwelling filled with metal objects. The dwelling would be her room, classrooms, and so forth.
Feral
Feral is a term that Caitlin would learn from her capture meaning “Mutant Animal.” Caitlin would come across a mutant named Sabertooth during her captivity and have his Feral-like powers copied. She acquired his personality, senses, and lengthened canines.
All of Caitlin’s senses are enhanced expect for her sense of taste. However only her sense of smell is at her disposal at all times, the senses of sight, hearing, and touch require her to concentrate greatly to tap into them. Sometimes you can see Caitlin suddenly flinching at a loud noise or bright light because her senses are flaring out suddenly and unexpectedly.
Caitlin animal personality is usually under control most of the time. Sometimes under extreme stress or anger or threaten Caitlin personality can turn to a more animalistic one. It mainly consists of growls or hissing when threatened or messed with. Sometimes Caitlin can be seen snapping at her students when one crosses the line with her. Caitlin does possess lengthen incisor that she can retract at times to appear more human when needed.
Energy Blasts
Caitlin had escaped once from her prison in Alkali Lake. During her brief freedom she met a man in his late thirties named Nathan Summers. It would be because of him that she would have the power to create a tremendous force of power from the palms of her hands. Because of this she ran away, resulting in being capture once again, after blowing the roof off of Nathan house when her new found power activated for the first time.
Caitlin has a very limited control over this power of hers. This power has always, and will always, prove to be a hard to control and learn. At the moment, she activates the power for very short intervals, usually from two to ten seconds at time. This power also takes an extremely powerful toll on her body the longer she uses it. It is said, that an extent used of this power can kill her possibly. Caitlin normally refrains from using this power and but if needed, she uses the power in small and quick burst of mere hundreds of second in duration to keep from being tiring out or hurting something or someone.
The energy used to power this ability come from Caitlin own body that houses the destructive force. Beast has mention that she recharges by using the sun as a power source for the power energy. It flows out of the palms of her hands in a bright yellow-white beam that can have a very large radius when launched. The simple act of closing her hands can cancel the power. This ability is far stronger than her Physic Blast power but that power can be used nonstop by Caitlin unlike this one.
Computer Brain
Caitlin copied the power of mutant named Saga. She was her capture personal assistant during her captivity and was in charge of all her testing and any information gathered on her. The power she copied was the ability to have a computer for a brain.
Caitlin is able to store and retains everything and anything her senses take in from her surroundings at all times. She is also able to recall that information faster than any computer on earth currently. This power activates on its own whenever new knowledge is present to Caitlin. Caitlin does, however, have the ability to recall what her power has stored, not what is it storing.
Super Strength
Caitlin possesses two gaps in her memories. One of them is for when she acquired to her omega-level strength. It is unknown as where, who, or how she got the power. An entire month is lost to Caitlin before she met Nathan Summers and was capture once again. It was during this time that she acquired her new found strength.
Caitlin is able to lift weights ranging into and just over five hundred tons. It is been suggested she can lift more but there is currently no means to prove it. She is currently stronger than Rogue in terms of strength. This ability seem to have no toll on Caitlin but continuing use can tire out her out like anyone who lifts weights for long periods of time. She can eventually tire out if she is constant lifting extremely heavy objects.
