well, yep, theres gonna be a metal gear solid movie, the good thing is, hideo kojima plans to have full involvement in it! so i hope itll be a sucess!
but i wonder, is it gonna be a CGI movie, or live action, which do you think'll be better?

I hope it's a CGI movie a live one would be hard to look at. But as long kojima is behind it there is some hope. If it sucks maybe the patriots well erase it wink

While I think a live action MSG movie COULD be pulled off, I think Kojima's real strength lies in CG storytelling. Also, David Hayter could continue to be the voice of Snake biggrin Also, the metal gears would have to be done in 3D anyway, so it'd just flow better to make it all CG rather than trying to green screen actors in >.<

I don't think it'll be all that good. The games themself have cuts longer than any movie out. So he would have to cut down on story and overall awesomeness just to make it watchable in terms of time. Perhaps a duo movie like Kill Bill may work. 3nodding

Thought it was confirmed to be Live action 0.o
Last time I looked it up, it was due later this year and David Hayter (check spelling) got roflpwned by the producer after getting his screenplay rejected

IMDB linkIt's slated to release this year, but with the lack of information on it, I wouldn't be suprised if it got bumped back to '10. I think that CGI is the only way that it could be pulled off while still being true to the series. But look at the history of CGI game to movies... Final Fantasy... Advent children was pretty good, but other than that... I think if they want it to be a commericial sucess, they should go live action. The problem that I keep comming up against is the casting. The voice actors obviously can't do it. Faces for radio. So I guess, who are your ideal stars to play the key players. Also, where in the story line do you think they should do the movie?
