The planet Earth lies in desolation. Once bustling cities are overgrown. The human population boasts only 1/8 of it's former population on Earth.
U.C. 0084
Assassinated after rising to complete power, Gihren Zabi left The Prinicipality of Zeon to operate under than maniacal hands of Quiura Tarquil, a woman equally power crazed but much more inhumane. Launching a coordinated sneak attack on all major Federation bases on Earth, the Zeon broke the Arctic Treaty by using biological warfare. U.C. 0087 Halting all EFSF and EFF mobile suit production, the Zeon sweeps down on supply bases, destroying resistance forces. The Zeon's highly advanced Newtype soldiers, piloting MS-06S Kai Zaku II's, reign supreme against the Earth's stagnant forces. One by one, all major cities are destroyed, and yet another colony is dropped, this time hitting it's deadly mark of the polar ice caps, flooding many parts of the earth, and forcing most of the population to flee into space...where they became easy targets. Those that remained on Earth battle through vicious climate change, resulting in very few and scattered peoples. Guerrilla opposition continues in space, but little is done of the survivors, as they are now considered a liability. After three years of war, the Earth Federation surrender unconditionally. But the Earth doesn't. Now, 14 years later, the Zeon forces continue to scour the Earth, seeking to eliminate all remaining resistance. EFSF's remaining forces have fled the space fortress Solomon, scattering, and some making immediate crash landings on Earth, in an attempt to form a guerrilla force, with the hopes of one day defeating the Zeon.

Shen was driving to teh docking bay. some rebels had a ship they were giving him. Zeon was sending a sweep through the city and he was seeking to get airborne as fast as he could

"I'm at the docking bay in sector 003," said Riza, moving her thumb over her Zaku's machine gun control, "Aquiring target now."
Her Zaku was well hidden among the wreckage of the city, and was in firing range of the rebel docking bay. Reports had come in from an insider that the feddy's would be attempting to launch a ship into space.
Suddenly, the Zaku's mono eye picked up a truck heading for the bay, so Riza decided to wait and see. If she could hit the ship when it was fully loaded, that would be the ideal shot and she'd be able to leave this hell hole of a planet.

they reached the ship, it had been too easy, not even a road block. somethign was wrong, shen was still in a good positon, he had no record as a known rebel and had been driving so he could say he was merely paid to drive. He stopped teh truck and got out and lit up a smoke. Looking around, he pulled out some millitary binoculars from teh truck and froze for a moment seeing the zaku ahead. he whispered to several and went off another direction letting them decide on teh aciton. Some got on thinking they could outrun the zaku, others unloaded some material and loaded it intot eh ship then left int eh truck. Shen however took refuge in a ruined settlement with his weapon pack on his back

Riza had isregarded the truck, seeing them unpack and leave, assuming she hadn't been spotted. She was waiting for the ship to take flight before shooting it down.
"This is unit two," she said into her com, "SHip has not left the operation zone, repeat, ship has not left operation zone. Target being aquired."
"Roger that unit two," came a crackling voice, "Units three and four have you covered."

Shen could spot several more zaku in the ruins near by, he took cover and put on his thermal suit, to hide him from scanners and thermal sweeps. He was close to one and was sneacking up a roof to get to the hatch
The ship was still then everyone got out, it was smoking, it appeared there was a malfunction. In reality it was a failsafe malfunction they knew, a glitch that would destroy the evidence of ther rebel identiies.

"Look like we ain't gotta shoot down that ship! Them feddies seem a'done it fer us!"
Riza was quiet. She'd have to wait longer for her chance of the planet. She didn't even notice that Shen was making his way towards her cockpit hatch.
"We got us some heat back younder! Unit two, you stay in this sector, case that ship gits a-workin'!"
"Roger," said Riza, before sighing.

As a colony pilot, Shen was familiar with the zaku, and he knew one way someone could disable one if it was done well. He use this one as bait and take a scout investigating. He snuck onto the zaku and planted a cluster of bombs just under an armor plate he had slowly loosened, he then climbad bakc and got a good vantage point and detonated. The bomb destroyed the hydrolic cables and cooling system. No hydrolics and the zaku would be unable to move. He waitted for teh pilot to get out of teh cockpit so he could deal with the pilot

Riza felt the shock from the explosion, and her systems went haywire.
"Dammit, what now?" The Zaku's cockpit hatch opened, and Riza climbed out. Sh was wearing a bodysuit, which was zipped olt the waist, leaving the top half hanging around her waist. It was hot in in her MS, so she only wore an A-shirt underneath.
Climbing down, she tried to immediately find what was the matter. She saw the scorched metal, and climbed up to it.

"Now to force the auto destress signal" Shen said quietly, he tossed a grenade in the cockpit and took cover, it blew up. Like most planes and governemtn vehicles, when a certain temperature is exceeded and damage a distress signal is sent out. He'd get a ride out on a zaku and have a mobile suit. He circled around and kept his rifle at the pilot, making sure to keep an eye out for her but staying out of sight.

"Nn!" Riza dropped down around the legs of the kneeling Zaku, and pulled her gun from the holster. "Dammit, a feddy...where the hell are you...?"

Shen came from behind a wall near teh left leg of her zaku. "Drop the weapon, and put your hands on your head, intertwining your fingers" Shen said in a very clear calm voice. He had a very clear kill shot fm his point and he hwas far enough away to be safe of a physical attack at him. He was behind her so she could not shoot and even if she spun and shot he'd have more than enough time to take cover or put one in her head.

She dropped the gun, doing as Shen had said and putting her hands behind her head.
