I was in one of the 'favorite character" topics, and a lot of people where saying how much they hate Wulfgar (not that i like him much).
Why do a lot of you hate him? Anybody who thinks he's the best character?

I'm only just reading Siege of Darkness... so I might not have as many reasons as other people... Although, I don't completely hate him. He's okay. I just think he's a bit... I dunno. Gary-sue-ish... Or maybe I'm just linking him to Catti-brie, and my distaste for her.
Although, I have heard... (SPOILER) that he comes back... which is sort of... Well, it just doesn't seem right.
Hm... that was probably a bad start to the thread... I bet someone else will have something else to say.
I must note, though, that your poll is lacking. My favourite character isn't even on that list. Maybe you could add in an 'other' option?

I hate him because if you read the above spoiler he gets that instead of Zaknafein!
Can someone show me how to use the color effects because it is not working well for me crying

Omen, all you have to do is put and around the text that you want to make a colour. Replace the asterisk with the colour that you want. So, in this case... [color=white]SPOILER GOES HERE[/color] I hope that helps.

Spoiler I hate wulfgar because he has sex with Catti-brie then in the middle of it flashes back to his hard times with Errtu and punches her in the face! Then I hate the fact that he runs around for the next book getting drunk, getting in bar fights, having sex with a bar maid then neglecting her, and all through this he becomes so solitary that even his best friend can't stand him!

Well Omen, *SPOLIER*I didn't think he had sex with Catti-brie, I thought they were in the beginning stage, playing and whatnot...., but I didn't like him either when he went off on that binge.
Wulfgar started out as an okay character, but I think Salvatore put him on too negative of a path to ever successfully make him a good character again. It's sad, but how he *SPOILER* put Wulfgar on a hiatus was apprpriate and better than what he's done with him for the past....books.
Hane, you should express who your favorite is!
I chose Guenhwyvar....lol
**that was annoying going from teal to white...lol--too many modifications

A shame they turned the character into that. I was hoping they'd have him not be like the other men of his tribe. A pain in the ***.

Well why do I hate Wulfgar (or at least don't like him)/
Mainly because he doesn't do much thinking...
I mean there no good point in rushing into your enemies and beating them without any thought. The adventures of Wulgar, when he learns with Drizzt were nice though but... now well it's kinda boring because as said he's like his other people and so I do consider him somewhat a cliche bararian. Mighty muscles but few brain....

True Wulfgar is a barbarian, but he can still do better. Look at Drizzt. His people make the barbarians look like little kids fighting on the playground. He became better than his people. If Drizzt can do it so can Wulfgar.
