In the show, at least (I haven't read the books yet), there is a second set of the Royal Four.
My friend and I had a vigorous "disscusion" about this sometime last month, when I first saw the episode.
Anyway, my theory is that after the created the first set of hybrids that we all know and love, Antar decided that they might be "too human", so they created the second set, and sent it down three years later. And that would also explain why the second set had some of there memories and knew the names of their past lives.
What do you guys think?

Actually, they explained where the other Four came from... they were created the same time as the Royal Four. In the flashback episode

In the context of a school project, Michael meets an old war veteran. He tells Michael, that he was part of the large covering up action of the military - after the UFO Crash in 1947. At that time he helped the Aliens and thereupon he had to give up his carrer. Michael thanks him by revealing his true identity.

The vet saw two sets of pods in that room when he helped the aliens, one of them presumably, Nasedo.
