So we once had a long debate about how much power a Mod or council member should be allowed to use. It's in the filter if you want to view it.

My personal opinion is that if someone is trusted enough to become a council member they should be warned that they need to use much restraint. Then they are allowed to make their own decisions to an extent. As for deleting or locking threads that is a tedious thing for the most part. If a Mod sees a thread that obviously needs to be deleted or locked, they should do so, but if they feel slightly unsure of what to do, the thread should be sent to the Filter with the KEY applied. As for banning members, I feel Mods should only be allowed to inform the Vice Captain or Captain. If the Vice Captain or Captain feels they should be banned based on the information, they can go ahead. The whole inviting members or allowing someone to join is a completely different thing and I don't know what we should do until we know what process it will be done through. (Three Trials jazz.)

That's my opinion.
