The bright light that intensely light up the room blinded the new students as they entered. They looked from side to side, staring at the other students. The students that were already seated all watching the new-comers intently. Already these children could feel tension in the room between two of the four tables, which added an anxiety to the already intimidated year ones.
Nervously, the children walked down the center of the large room followed by an old teacher. Up ahead an old hat sat upon a small stool. You could easily see the ware and tear on that hat that could have only come from centuries of use. Professor McGonagalls slowly walked to the front of the group of children and cleared her throat, easily gaining the attention of the entire room. Again she cleared her throat, as if ensuring herself that she had the whole rooms attention, then one by one she called the names of the children before her, and placed the old hat upon their heads.
For the last two years, one small boy who looked like he didnt belong watched quietly. He had a dazed look in his eye like he didnt care, or as if he didnt understand. The boy was also the only one not betting on what kids would get Slytherin or Gryffindor. But he still held a cocky smile that showed his happiness. Easily you could see he was the one that always was happy no matter the situation. Finally his green eyes focused over to the Gryffindor table. He was also probably the only Slytherin actually liked and accepted by that house.
With a loud applause his attention was brought back to the children at the front of the room. Soon they were distributed evenly and about a fourth of those children took a seat at the Slytherin table. He looked around the table at his fellow classmates, flashing a smile or a small hand gesture alone with the other students. But his eyes rested on Malfoy, who was already staring him down. Malfoy never hated him. Basically, Malfoy was the only one that knew that Issac wondered off every now and then. And Malfoy was using that knowledge to try and 'persuade' Isaac to join his little group of Slytherin muscle.
"Issac you dunce" Malfoy yelled from about five kids down the table. Issac had just now noticed the food that had appeared on the table over two minutes ago.
"What Malfoy" he muttered with a sigh, twirling his fork on the table.
"You going to hang with me this year, or am I going to tell Snape about the animal you really are?" He said with a wicked smile. A small smirk appeared on Issac .
"If you tell him Malfoy, then you loose the dogie you wanted for two years" he retorted, grabbing a piece of the chicken from a platter in front of him. Malfoy didn't reply, and fumed slightly with Crabbe and Goyle.
