So what has everyone been up to in the real world? What type of presents did you get?

Hello! I have been frantically trying to finish my higher education. As for christmas it was clothing and new indoor soccer shoes! How about you?

Indoor soccer shoes? Haha, cool. I actually got shoes too. Well, I also got two gift cards, but I lost my wallet/it was stolen so I don't have those anymore. Oh well though. New years was good too, even though I just went to bed and didn't really party like I usually would.

Ah, the holidays. Let's see, I spent Christmas in a cold induced haze, coughing and blowing my nose on about two dozen hankerchiefs and half a million kleenex. I received a gift card dinner courtesy a gentleman who works with my husband (which by the way was delicious), and a rather entertaining, if not slightly embarrassing, Wii game that my son (and later a very drunk group of friends) seem to absolutely enjoy watching me play.

Which leads into New Year's. Ah, yes, both my son and I spent the day before and of New Year's Eve recovering from a stomach virus that has been sweeping about Jacksonville. Somehow I managed to survive a very long evening party with friends, in which I will admit to having a bit more to drink than should have been allowed. Brought in the New Year with a lot of whooping and applause at my drunken Wii performance, I will proudly admit. Apparently an eight month pregnant woman with suprising agility, jumping, dancing and swinging about the living room with a remote and nunchuck in both hands can be both ridiculously hilarious to behold and down-right upsetting to play against, especially when she keeps making top scores.

Overall, the holidays were a mix of good with the bad, and I'm quite happy that they are done with. Now for a bit of quiet before the next storm of holidays sweeps through.

Yes, soccer shoes. They are amazingly beautiful and will replace my 8 year old other indoor shoes which have finally been destroyed- I pretty much put my foot through the front end of my shoe during a game, oops!

Bummer about the wallet though, I lost my wallet once and it was a bloody pain to cancel everything and get new IDs. I hope you find it/it wasn't too bad of a loss.

Well sounds like everyone here had a pretty good holiday season.

My own was well enough, but overall lonely. I went home for the holidays to be treated like yesterdays lawn furniture: This entales arriving and sitting in the silent livingroom, while everyone stares at the bigscreen TV and whatever sports event is playing at that moment. This lasts for the duration of Christmas. Christmas Dinner was at the most bleh'zay.

New Years was fun, but a bit of a let down. A group of us gathered at my place - roughly 20 of us. We all brought things for dinner and alot of alcohol. During the snacking, we played the Five Finger Game of 'Have You Ever' - which ended up being a rather depressing PG-13 rating. It would have been so much more fun if everyone was as open as myself.

After everyone else had lost the power to control their limbs, a very sober yours truely guided a group of drunks to the base of the Space Needle to watch the fireworks attempt to once again bring about the Needle's Downfall - which didn't happen this year either. Shucks.

It's at this time that I would usually be wrapping my arms about the woman I love and share in a New Years kiss. Well, not this year. This year I shared it umongst several different people in more of a well wishing than a Romantic Gesture of Things to Come. No, if she'd have been there, it would have been much much better, but alas... nay, she was not.

Oh well. lol.
