...and it occurred to me how differently homeschooling is viewed in my region. Some people were posting about the negative connotations and weird stares, etc., but where I com from it's quite the opposite.
Everyone envies them, thinks they're automatically geniuses and wants to be their friend. (Many popular people on the sports teams and art clubs are home-schooled.)
Why is that?

dunno people act weird in all sorts of situations. I don't get weird stares, just sometimes an uncomfortable silence or someone telling me why they disapprove. unless I'm wearing a sign that says "I homeschool" no one will know.
sometimes what I think what it is people are concerned because its clear that I'm not a genius so they get worried I'm neglecting my kid just because I don't like mean teachers. but thats not even part of my reason.
