Ya know, it's kinda funny how something you write really speak, even when you haven't seen them in a long time. When my Grandfather passed away, I wrote in my journal a poem in dedication to him. Today I reread it, and I just broke down into tears. I wouldn't say I had the closest relationship with my grandfather, exposure was very limited, and I only saw him when I was young and very self-centered. When I lost my grandmother, I realized that time with him was limited, and I began to hang out with him more often and cherish the time. And then he was gone.
I feel as if there is an open spot where memories of him should be. I don't know if you guys really care, but it really just hit me and I feel that I need to at least show myself that it's not that I loves my grandfather, but I love my grandfather still.
