*Unlike other captains offices, this one was in a sort of disarray. Cabinets, dressers, chests, desks, a couch, and a few chairs made up most of the rooms contents. Lamps lined the walls, half of them were lit most of the time. It was rare if they all were lit simultaneously. The contents of the desks, chests, and cabinets ranged from various trinkets from which Shugo had collected to various types of alcohol which was kept under lock and key. The dressers contained multiple captain's robe (due to the fact that they keep being burned from time to time), and some experimental items which Shugo created and tested.*

*The room smelled like old pine, and had a small hint of burnt wood. The vapors of recently opened bottles of alcohol could also be found. On one specific wall there were various trophies that Shugo had collected. Mostly the Zanpaku-tous of rebel Soul Reapers he had defeated. One in particular was marked "Don't attempt to use at all". That particular Zan had a rather large and wide blade, which would require two hands even by the most skilled with a blade. In the back-center of the room was a desk with a candle lit. The candle had been lit for a while since the wax had already been halfway melted off. The top of the desk had a few marbles of various colors, an ink pen, and several pieces of parchment. A stack on the far corner of the desk was already completed work, while the other much bigger pile of the opposite corner was unfinished work.*

*The walls bore scars of past office skirmishes, fumbled swords, and the occasional fiery "Sleepy Sneeze". Shugo lay sleeping on the couch in the corner of the room. He had used his robes as a makeshift blanket, and a straw hat as a light shield. His snoring could even be heard from outside the closed doors.*

*The door opened slightly as if it were a response, Shugo still snoring away on the couch in the corner.*

*An eye poked open underneath the straw hat. Shugo sat straight up on the couch, launching the hat to the other end of the couch. Lazily, Shugo shifted his gaze towards Tempest.* Oh...I didn't hear you come in. *Shugo climbed out of the couch, set his robes on the arm of the couch, and sat in his chair at the desk.*

It smells like home to me. But I do guess you would be right on the whole sleeping on the job thing... *Shugo just noticed the candle on his desk still burning.* Figures. I left it on again. *Shugo smothers the flame with his fingers.*

Well...after a few spirits you do lose consciousness and doze off. *Looking at the burnt out candle* It wouldn't have burnt down the office...though I hope it wouldn't have.

*Shugo pauses for a second, looks at the ceiling, and then looks at Tempest.* At the least, 3 bottles. For other occasions it might be more or less.

Niomi walks in just to check on Shugo, without even bothering to knock on the door respectfully before she stepped in. She waved her hand near her nose as she smelt the scent of alcohol linger in the room. She sighs “Alcoholic.” Niomi proceeds to take a random seat. “So…What have you two been up to?”

"That's because she didn't knock at all, Shugo. Hey Niomi, how're you?"
Tempest then went back to thinking.
"Well at least he's not drinking moonshine."
