ONCE UPON A T I M E
Chaos would rise again, as it was predicted so, heralded by Sailor Cosmos in the time of Galaxia's evil. The evil entity, sealed within the galaxy cauldron, unable to break free would soon find a means of escape.
The crowning of the new queen was occasion for great celebration and great caution for it created a moment of weakness in the delicate balance between good and evil. The Silver crystal must be passed over from mother to daughter and that small frame of time, that second or two it took from the crystal to leave on delicate hand and fall into another, left the earth defenseless. This is when Chaos attacked. This is when it took the closest sailor crystal it could leaving the host comatose to become Sailor Chaos.
King Endymion fell backward as a force collided with him. He felt vulnerable, he felt invaded as his life slipped away so quickly. He watched in slow motion as his daughters smile spread across her face anticipating her new honor , as his wife embraced the girl and as he fell closer to the ground, how their faces contorted into worry, claps faded and gasps filled the air. With a thud the empty shell of the king fell unmoving to the ground, his chest barely rising with each breath. His wife ran over in tears while her guardians, her friends, ran to protect her child. Before she could reach him something stirred within his chest. A great light floated upward. No it wasn’t a light, it was a small crystal, something she immediately recognized as a star seed. Suddenly the light faded overcome by blackness and a shape began to materialize. It began to thicken and color and laugh. It laughed, a viscous laugh, one that chilled ones bones, stopped ones breathe, embraced ones thoughts in only fear.
A cool obviously female voice cooed, “It has been a while Moon.” When the Older Queen said nothing the woman, who donned a sailor suit, smiled, “Come you do not recognize me?” The shape shifted into an ancient hooded man and then into a gold suited soldier and back into the woman from before, “This time you my call Sailor Chaos.” Finally the Queen spoke, her composure wore down by loss and fear, yelled out “Run” to her people and prepared for a fight.
Princess Small Lady Serenity hadn’t been able to receive the Silver Crystal and so all she could do was watch as her mother recklessly summoned its power and trapped the being inside. Sailor Chaos was now inside the Silver Crystal. Everyone was silent, unsure if everything was truly safe again, and they were correct in their doubt, just as bodies began to relaxe and heartbeats slow, the Silver Crystal shattered. The pale delicate body of her mother fell next to her father’s, both so close to death and all she could do was cry for them, fat watery tears.
Shards glided through the clear sky, some landing deep in the earth’s soil, forming small shields around the cities, some landing within people, giving them odd powers and dreams, and still where some landed was unknown, and would take time to find and retrieve. Sailor Chaos herself was still trapped inside the shards but she was not powerless.
Sailor Chaos summoned an old feared ancient power, able to harness some powers of the crystal for herself, “Arise messengers of death, disease, famine and war, bring with you the end of all, the destruction of the world, the Apocalypse.”
Disease, famine, war and death did rise, but they served no one. They would do as they please but would further help the spread of chaos. Chaos then sent her own darkness out, her very being, tainting humans and their star seeds creating an army of monsters, from Serenity’s own people. War was well under way. Chaos was infecting humans too quickly and the senshi were quickly overrun. Anything outside of the shields was destroyed and became a wasteland of monsters.
Pluto, Soldier of time, informed Small lady of an ancient force, a team of Sailor Soldiers born from the goodness of humans, ancient powers that govern all. She had to find them, retrieve the Silver Crystal shards and restore her home.
