Unfortunately, the tongue piercing is going to have to be held off for a while *sigh* I need to ease my parents into the idea of it. However, my mother has offered to buy my nostril piercing for my 18th birthday. It's not a tongue, but it is something I've wanted. They day I get my nose done I'm also going to get myself a cartilage piercing.
Now for the true point of this post. Just as my tongue post, I've done my research, but I must ask if you have any advice for the nose piercing. I always like to gather as much information as I can.

Don't touch it. Don't flare your nostrils too often (it'll hurt XD trust me)
If a small bump appears next to the stud, don't touch it, lightly rub some cleaning solution on it. It should go away in a couple days if you clean it once a day (if that bump appears) Nose Screw or Ring is best for healing. Nosebone, I wouldn't trust, cause they can be pulled out SO much easier.
Honestly. I never used anything on my nose. As weird as that sounds XD I never had anything happen to it, other than the time I pulled it out with a towel. Oh, be careful of those by the way D:

Ah, I finally got it done about a week ago. I absolutely love it. I've had no problems with it so far and it no longer hurts. I can't wait until I can change the jewelry I got it pierced in though. It's an L bar and it swivels around all the time and sticks out of my nose. Cayliin, I did accidentally pull it out when I was washing my face in the shower. I almost had a heart attach because I couldn't get it back in, but I put some soap on it so it was slippery and got the little bugger back in there. lol. I'll have to get a picture up. *nods*

Once the swelling goes down you might be able to get the bar bent tighter. =3
