I'd rather pick the insence based on what I'm blessing the item "for" rather than the material the item is composed of.

will you be using it while working with any one god specifically?
-edit- also, it bears to mention, that there was no insense "in" traditional asatru, they didn't use the stuff at all. That doesn't mean you "can't" but it does mean that there's no "correct" answer to your question and you might be better off asking a wiccan. -/edit-

I'd rather not ask a Wiccan anything--unless they were Gardnerian, of course. As far as the Eclectic Pagans who call themselves Wiccans are concerned, from my experience if you ask six of them the same question, you'll get eight different answers... none of which which will be correct.

Too true. sweatdrop @Invader Kagami A good start would be to research general blessing incense and then look for specific qualities that you feel would be appropriate for the ritual item.
