That's right! We need some new ways to advertise the guild. Therefore, we are turning to our members for help.
All you need to do is create a banner that can be used to advertise.
There will be two categries: Profile Ad and Sig Ad.
Category 1: Profile Ad
This is the type of thing that is too large to go in a signature on Gaia, but can still be placed on a profile in order to let people know about the guild. In fact, the winner will definitely be displayed on my profile!
The specifics:
MUST include the name of the guild: The Garden of Eden
MAY include: The Earth Room
other than that, the concept and design will totally up to the person creating the "ad" It would be best to include a garden or nature theme, but those are not required, as long as the name of the guild is present.
Category 2: Signature Ad
This is the sort of button or banner that is small enough to fit in a person's signature. These ads are more versatile, because they can be used in such a large variety of ways.
The specifics:
MUST conform to the signature size. (No larger than 500 x 500 pixels)
MUST include the name of the guild: The Garden of Eden
MAY include: The Earth Room
Try to incorporate the garden and/or nature theme into your design so that it fits better into the theme of the guild. However, like with the profile ad, the theme is not required. Use your imagination!
OTHER INFO:
Contest will start today and run until we have at least three entries for each category or January 31, 2009, whichever comes LAST...
Every person who enters will win a prize (though it may not be anyting large...)
The prizes will be as follows:
1st place: Thank You Letter for November 2008
2nd place: 5K
3rd place: 3K
Prizes will be the same for each category. mrgreen

I just used MSPaint... lol I can't afford real programs... sweatdrop But I've worked with Paint for a while now, and I have gotten used to the tools so I can create pretty fair pixel art without having to drop a dime~ I'd have to say that the thing is playing with all the tools, finding out what they do and how, and manipulating their qualities to your advantage... Best part is that most PCs come equipped with Paint default. for FREE. 3nodding

I don't even have paint. I have have a mac. I need to spend big bucks to get the programs to do cool things.

Macs are expensive... Not just to get them, but also to get the programs required to do the things I woudl like to do with my computer... sad

Well hey, look on the bright side you guys!! At least with your macs, you're at a lower risk of identity theft, and they aren't nearly as prone to viruses as PCs~ ^.^
