There was a great buzz among the town folks of Miyr. News had it that royalty from a distant land was coming to Miyr, a princess. Not only that but she was a priestess as well and that she would be passing out blessings and visiting the local temples. No one but a select few knew where exactly she was from or why she was visiting but it did not matter. It had been a while since Miyr had had such a visitor. It was a special occasion and the welcome mat was rolled out.

It was around noon when the visitor finally arrived. Around the corner came a lavishly decorated carriage. It was pulled by four white stallions and the carriage itself gleamed of white and gold. The sun gleamed off the intricately carved surfaces and scattered into many point of light. Delicate curtains where hung in the widows of the carriage obscuring the view of anyone who would seek to peek inside. The carriage was flanked by a relative small entourage of six horsemen. They wore shiny silver armor and rode two in the front and back and one on each side. The carriage traveled slowly down the street giving curious townsfolk a chance to observe the scene. If one looked closely enough at the curtain they might observe the faint silhouette of the princess priestess riding within.

Varnis was sitting down on a bench as he watched the carriage pass by. Watching it he stood up, and walked into the crowd getting closer to it. Not seeming curious, he got to the front of the crowd and watched. "Looks like some one of importance." He looked about the crowd as he stood there.

Perrian walked to the side of the street to watch the carriage pass. He decided to maybe check out more about this princess priestess. He never heard about a princess priestess in Miyr before and was curious if he could meet her, he wondered if she maybe had a job for him to do with his healing. He asked one of the crowd members where the carriage was going to stop first.

He, right now, was wearing a basic robe that was a off white color. In his robe was his angelic staff in one pocket inside the robe and his dart was in another pocket inside the robe. Both were not visible to the eye. The holy symbol was in the same pocket as his angelic staff. His potion and life gem was in a bag that was on his back. His forcefield was also in that bag. I really need to get a new robe...This robe color really needs a revamping somehow He thought to himself as he looked at his robe.

Bellamin stood out in the crowd. Not because of his robes, his sword, or because of his repuation as a town ecentric. No, with the large crowd of civillians and adventurers alike, Bellamin felt relativly normal and part-of-the-mob. The fact that his wizard's hat bobbed a good foot or two above everyone's head was the main contributer.

"Wonder what the visit's all about." He mumbled rhetorically to himself.

As the procession slowly travels down the street, no one seems to be able to directly answer Perrian’s questions, though someone suggests maybe town hall or the temple might do. As the carriage passes by Perrian, there is a noticeable movement inside, as if the royal priestess took notice of his presence.

However, the peaceful scene is soon shattered as a hysterical woman breaks from the crowd of observers and runs in front of the procession. “My baby!” she wails. “My baby, there’s something wrong with my baby!”

The procession comes to a stop as one of the guards speaks: “Lady, the priestess will be able to see your baby at the temple. We will be stopping there shortly.”

“You don’t understand,” the lady blurts. “There is something wrong with him right now!” She holds her baby up for the horseman to see and there is indeed something wrong. The baby hangs there limply in her arms, and looks a little green. He is struggling for each breath. The guard looks like he’s about to say something, when he is stopped by a soft female voice from inside the carriage.

“I will take over from here, captain.” The door of the elegant carriage swings slightly ajar. A pair of dainty white boots appears and steps out to the ground as the priestess emerges from the cabin. She stands about five seven and has long, silver hair flowing down the length of her back. She is clad in a smooth white robe with red trimmings and her face is covered by a veil. Even though her lithe form is obscured by her robes and her face is unseen, it is clear she is younger than the color of her hair would lead one to believe.

She hastily walks over to the woman holding the baby. “This child suffers from an unnatural affliction.” She takes the child form the woman and examines him for a moment more. “There is a curse upon him. Fear not, I can remove it.” The priestess’s hand begins to glow as she holds it over the child. A black smoke wafts off the infant as she presses her hand closer until; finally, it rests on the child’s head. The green pallor of the child disappears suddenly and he begins to breath normally again. The priestess hands the child back to the ecstatic mother. “Now, do you know why anyone would put such a curse on your child?”

Perrian watched as the priestess healed the baby and walked closer to the scene of the healing, but did not go too close that the guards might consider him a threat. He waited to see what the response of the mother might be before he asked if he could help in anyway.

Isidar wove her way through the crowd. She found a clear space in the middle of the crowd where she could successfully listen in on anything going on further up toward the carriage. She was close to Perrian and stuck close to him, far enough that he did not see her but close enough to step in if he needed any help. She wore her hood up to ensure he didn't recognize her. She didn't really have any interest in the visitor, just the reactions of the other people to see the pricess/priestess. Misery nibbled the remains of the acorn in Isidar's pocket, He poked his little head out to stare at Perrian every few moments with a odd little expression on his furry muzzel. He chattered away his low opion of Perrian in a languange only other squirrels and a nut like Isidar could understand.

(Ok, with this post event is closed for new members, everyone enjoy the event ^^)

As if to answer the priestess’s question a humongous blast of energy crashes into her carriage causing it to explode into hundred of pieces. The guards are knocked from their horses as well as the surrounding crowd being laid flat from the explosion. On cue eight cloaked mercenaries leap up from where there they hid in the crowd and rush the stunned guards and priestess. One mercenary rushes each of the guards on that back and sides while the remaining four rush the priestess with her two guards. Standing on the roof of a nearby building the mage that had blown up the carriage readies another blast of energy.

Falling to the ground from the explosion Varnis laid down on the ground as he saw the men appear. Dazed for a second, he stood up. Drawing his sword he charged in. "I don't know who you are, but you mean harm. Its time to have some fun!" Coming up from behind one of the mercenaries, he jumped up into the air and slashed at the man before landing on the other side of him.

"Ok...now where is Isidar...ok, you in the big wizard hat! (refering to Bellamin), get the back guards some protection! And somebody, get the side guards some protection! I'll help with the side with the most attackers because the is probably going to take the most damage! Somebody, move to help any other side possible!" Perrian called out to the crowd as he pulled his staff out of his robe with he right hand and put in in his left and he pulled out his dart. He wasn't normally the leader type, but in a situation like this it was either he was the leader or the battle would probably go in chaos. He spotted the mage and nodded. "That last blast will be your downfall." He said and threw his dart at the mage. He then put his staff back in his right hand and summoned his dragon Luljeta. Luljeta charged two healing energies and Perrian charged a healing energy with his free hand. On his staff grew a yellow ball of energy which he shot at one of the mercenaries. He sent out his healing energy and Luljeta did the same. He then hit merc 6 with his staff as a hope to be a surprise to him.

Bellamin fought through the fleeing crowd and headed to the back of the burning wreck. Getting through the mob, he quickly ran forward and tackled down one of the mercenaries. Rolling to his feet, the spellsword made a wild slash at the other mercenary before summoning his wisp. Just as the spirit pops into existance, Bellamin bats at with with the blunt of his sword. The little green orb goes rocketing towards the mage. But before impact, the thing explodes in a fury of green light.

Bellamin almost swore as he saw his little friend not reach the mage. "Somebody better take out the mage before he electrocutes us!" He swung around to deal with the mercenary he wasn't standing on.
