As a college student in the US who just voted in my first presidential election, I am terribly excited about inauguration day this year (especially since I voted for Obama. I, unfortunately, have school and work that day, but I think I'll be recording the entire inauguration festivities and hopefully will be able to watch in between classes. What are your plans for the day? Are you excited? Your thoughts in general?

My High School basically got rid of the last period of the day to watch the Inauguration for classes that signed up to watch it.
Wish we actually had a field trip there though... Living in VA and just not going? x.x
Stayed in class and watched it. >_< Didn't like the poem.

Worked. Then came home to take a nap. I've been sick, I'll catch the ceremony some other time when I feel better enough to understand it all.

I skipped my noon class (with the full support of my mom, lol) so I could watch it in the commons area of the Student Union with a good friend of mine. There's an amusing video up on Facebook that I got tagged in where I'm like "OMGOMGOMG INAUGURATION!" Since he had just been officially sworn in. I really enjoyed the inauguration, as well as the speech that Obama gave. It gives me a lot of hope for the future smile Also, I didn't get to hear the poem, since everyone was like "eff this, Obama's done" and started getting loud again
