Of course, since this is a guild about DREAMING, dreams are a part of that! (duh). So, what are some of the strangest dreams you've had (while sleeping)? Or dreams in life?
PostPosted: Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:55 pm

True!
xD I've had the strangest dreams.

Almost a year ago I had a dream- I was in a dark, chilly city. Standing on an arched bridge, past the gargoyle cathedral, I could see towering mountains. The air was breezy and heavy with the scent of oblivion. LOL. The dream then turned into a "D+D" (dungeons and dragons) inspired adventure in the mountains (and valley).

Another dream I remember occurred two summers ago. It was in a hilly, green field and the sun was glittering with the strongest intensity. There was a Greek style Parthenon on the top of one hill. Then I remember the sensation of dropping. My friend, let's call her Ella, and I were being chased by a Balroq (from LOTR). I was holding onto her as some sort of bouncing device allowed us to spring hundreds of feet into the air. A sandstorm blinded us, but Ella's glasses protected her eyes.
The next thing I know we were in a gas station store. Everything was correct about the environment, even the grimy film on the white linoleum. The clerk wore a cowboy hat, and was smoking. The understated country music was calming. We promptly left after I purchased sunglasses.

One dream- which is one of the most disturbing, is also the most difficult to describe. It all took place in one room, colorless, cluttered with antiques and draped in dusty velvets.
In the room's center was a chest emitting a darkness. I was being pulled in- it was the heaviest feeling. It was hell. I could not control my body and I was being swallowed alive. The suppression I felt- it felt so real!
No description could do it justice.

Dream #4-
This is rather old, and very fuzzy.
All I remember is the gray sky, stone castle and rice patties.
It had something to do with magic, and my father.

Dream #5-
I was in some sort of city, illuminated with night lights. Running along the sidewalk, I was keeping up with the trailer of another marching band, which I was talking with.
Then I went up the hill, into some park with one large tree.
The stars were breathtaking.
There was one small brown hut.
All I remember is the strong feeling that something was very, very wrong.
I awoke shortly after.

XD

My aspirations are to be a writer/naturopath, learn to sail, travel the world, own several cats and home school my children.
More lol-ing.

Ummm most of my dreams are strange. I very rarely have good dreams, just nighmares. I've often wanted to interpret them, but it isnt easy.

One of my worst nightmares to date...

Me and my boyfriend were walking down the street at night, when suddenly we were jumped by a gang. He managed to fend off all but one, who took me hostage at knifepoint. He said something like "Give me all your money or I'll kill her"

...And my boyfriend shrugged and said "You can have her," and walked away. I remember dream me screaming and crying for him to come back...
So the dude pulls me into a back alley and gets ready to rape me. Then my bf reappears and clonks him one. He tries to tell me that he never really left me at all, but dream me was so upset she wouldnt listen. He reached out to take my arm and I bolted into the street, straight into the path of an oncoming car... at which point I woke up.

I've had worse ones than that, but it's one I remember very well because it encompassed a lot of fears I had at the time.
Common themes in my dreams are being chased by some supernatural force I cant fight (when it's tangible it's usually some larger-than-life, grotesque human man, though once it was an old hag that I got a strange feeling was actually my boyfriend trying to burn me), locking myself inside with my family to keep some encroaching force out, enemies lurking in the darkness just out of sight, being ostracised by my friends, members of my family dying, a lack of windows or doors or too many of both... yeah. There's always going to be some weird elements of dreams because our minds are pretty random d;

I have lots of wierd dreams, but there's one that I have every time I get strep or something like it. It started back in 4th grade when I had strep like 4 times in 1 year. It's really hard to explain, but it has to do with responsibility or stress, sort of. Like there's an infinitely big mass of things and I have to move them all to another place. That's the best way I can describe it. It sounds really stupid and petty, but it is absolutely terrifying when I dream it. Even trying to describe it now, I'm subconsciously resisting thinking about it because it scares me so bad. It's really wierd.

It's okay. I'm really in to the meaning of dreams. And emotions. It's just... something extraordinary that I enjoy. Though, the scary bit does seem... well, yeah. I understand. *hug* xD

Well i once had these nightmares a few years ago that have stayed with me. I used to have nightmares all the time, and i still usually do. Although there was this one paritcular week where i had nothing but crazy, real feeling nightmares in a row. It was very odd and i dont know why i had each of them.

For instance.... The first dream i had started on a Tuesday. I had fallen asleep perfectly relaxed without a bad thought in my mind. I still have no idea how this nightmare came to be, but it started a little something like this...

A few friends and i were spending the day hanging out and having fun running around. We dare pass through dark alleys and abandoned "haunted" homes. After a while we stopped to rest and grabbed a few drinks from a corner store. The city we walked through carelessly was gloomy with broken down historical buildings that had been there for centuries that had each had thier own story to them. As we walked our eyes happened to catch one building in particular. Like any of the aged homes this one had its own story as well. My friend voiced it out as we paused at its front steps to peer inside the windows. "I heard this house has a crazy man in there that murders people. I think he still lives here, but nobody really knows... Whoever goes in never comes out.." he narrated. I glanced his way with a small smirk and took a swig of my soda. He grinned back at me, trouble written all over his green eyes. "I dare you to go in there. Ill give you five bucks" he bribed. I examined him carefully and took a moment to ponder on the offer. "Alright ill go in, but you guys got to wait out here for me. No ditching!" i scolded them with a finger. I placed my soda bottle on the floor and stomped my way in as if showing how brave i was by just my simple steps. I opened the door carefully and squeezed through the small opening i had made for myself, and closed it behind me. The house inside was dusty and everything inside of it was a faded brown color. Light seeped in through the mirky windows and dust even floated throughout the air. I glanced around every corner and roamed throughout the house. (Forgot that part) An awful stench hit my nose in an instant. Curiosity took the best of me and i followed the scent until i found a room. I opened the door and walked into the dark room. It was filled with shelves and desks all about it. On the shelves were placed jars, and on the desks were placed child trinkets and interesting tools. I snuck closer to the nearest shelf and examined one of the jars. The hand inside of it floated within the green liquid. I wasnt amused. a baby head in another, and more toys. Suddenly the door crashed open and i ran to the nearest corner and snuck into the darkness in between two desks. I made myself as small as possible so i wouldnt be seen. Monstrous footsteps were heard walking through the room, and they passed by me. It was a large man that was bigger then 3 men put together with beedy eyes and broad dark brown, worn out boots. I was relieved that he didnt see me as fear began to churn inside of my gut. When he had passed me fully i thought of running out and making a lucky escape. Just as the thought formed in my mind, my foot slipped on the dust. The noise was the loudest noise that echoed in my ears. My breath stopped and i picked up my head only to see the giant man standing before me with an enormous sludgehammer held over his head. Befor ei could let out a scream he brought it down and i quickly moved out of the way, and began to run. He chased me. I ran up the stares and through the endless hallways, and finally as hope had ended in me i found yet another room. I scrambeled inside of it as quickly as possible and shut the door behind me. This room was different. In the middle of it was what looked like a dentist chair for patients, a small table with tools behind it, and at the other end of the room against the wall stood a life size china doll. Filled with awe by its beauty and size i approached it. Her face was long and skinny, with a smooth milky white. A bit of salmon pink blush was splashed across her cheeks. Her small lips were pursed into a welcoming cherry red smile. Her narrow eyes were pitch black and empty. She posed delicatly with her hands folded over the other over a fan, with blossom pink kimonos folded over her porcelain body. My admiration of her was distracted by a loud clatter on the other end of the hall. Just as i turned the man had already grabbed me by the collar of my shirt. I struggled for my life, but my clawing didnt have any effect on his rough skinned hands. He pinned me down into the chair in the middle of the room and before i knew it, i was strapped down. Tears streamed down my face as i shreiked and begged for my life. The man ignored my helplessness and walked past me to the table full of scientific instruments. To my surprise he grabbed a saw. I clenched onto my chair and tugged away from the straps across my wrists, but it was no use. As i hasseled with the straps the man began to saw off the face of the china doll. Once he had perfectly removed her face he slowly walked over to me, her face in hand. My eyes grew wide with dread. He set her face over mine like a mask and reached over for the drill on the table. The sound of the drill made me tremble. My screams couldnt be heard anymore through the mask put over my face and the noisy tool. I kicked and panicked with terror. The man began to drill through the mask and i yelped in pain as the nails broke through my skin and bound the china doll mask to my face. Hot, thick, blood ran down my temples and soaked my hair. He began the other side of my face and forced the nail in. I had given up, i wasnt going to scream anymore, the pain was too much it was nauseating me. My vision spun like a dream. The drill grew blustering to my ears as he began the third part of my face by my chin. He had nearly completed the fourth end of my face, but for an unknown reason he dropped the drill and ran off into the house. My body felt limp and i could barely move, but still the urge to escape burned within me. Again i tried at the straps with my sweaty hands and with relief one of my hands was brought free. At once i reached over to my other hand and released it. With all my strength i picked myself up and freed my ankels. I stumbeled over to the door. Just as i pulled myself up again i heard the windows downstairs breaking and familiar voices of Robert and Ashley. Even then, without another thought i began to race down the stairs and out the back door. It lead me to another alley way and i ran for my life. The skies that had been grey all day were finally letting out its heavy rain. my vision circled and my body lost control. I collapsed to the ground in the midst of the rain, and my blood gathering around me. I thought i was dead...

Later in my dream i awoke in the hospital with my family gathered around my bedside. (I forgot this part) Days later i was taken home. My loving mother lead me to my room and sat me down on the bed. "Umm just stay in here. Ill leave you alone for a while.." she said with a small hopeless smile and closed the door softly behind her. I sat cross-legged on my bed with my white sun-dress ((Dont know why a white sun dress)) creating a small flower-like effect around me as i sat. I felt the sheets of my well made bed and i would have breathed in the fresh air of my house, if only i could breath correctly ever again. Remembering the incident i lifted a pale bloodless looking hand up to my face, and fingered the cracks of the china doll mask that was now a part of me. I hung my head low, my long black hair creating a curtain around my face as i thought of my future. I hadnt seen my face at all, and i had wondered what i looked like now. I built up my courage and lifted my chin up to my large mirror. The china doll face wasnt the beautiful sculpture i had remembered. Her hollow, dark eyes werent hollow anymore, instead my own shown through the shaped holes that were her eyes. Her milky white face was all cracked and still stained with bits of my blood. Her small cherry red lips remained, but now they were mine, and they were smiling at me through my reflection. At seeing this i began to weep. At first, no tears had shown thier presence, but then.. instead of tears.. Blood replaced thier place in my cries. Petrified at my new bloody tears i immediantly stopped, but the blood insisted on continueing to seep out of my mask. My white sun dress was now covered in blotches of red, and my colorless fingers were now crimson. I felt my face panicking and the blood kept on releasing endlessly. My white sundress was now red, my sheets were now red, everything was red. I would have screamed if i could anymore. My parents thankfully came in and rushed over to me.

Well the rest of that dream ends horribly and im really lazy to write down the rest. So yeah. xD That was one of my nightmares. To top it all off it felt completely real! Of course i woke up freaked and i actually felt my face and was very glad that i was fine. Although my face was numb and my throat was dry. o.o;;;;
