I recently got into photography, after acquiring a relatively decent digital camera. I have worked with other film types since, and before, but I like the digital because I can alter it easily.
I take pictures of myself and other people, but I really enjoy nature stuff. I took a lot of pictures at my grandmothers, I'll post them soon, who lives in Manhattan Beach, CA. It includes her front garden, her back yard, and the sunset from the hill that the house is on.
While editing my pictures that I uploaded last night, I had an idea to do something having to do with a story I was writing with my friend Ashley while we were in High School. It didn't get developed farther than the 13th chapter, but I think I want to take a swing at it now.
Anyways, first is the original picture: Next, the flipped picture, showing a warp where the light is most concentrated: 
Lastly, the most altered picture, The Mirror World, where the battle takes place:
I don't have any of the story on computer (we used a typewriter), but the basic story is set in The Mirror World, the Bridge Between, and Our World. A group of kids find a Warp, as I tried to capture in the picture, while venturing into a forest near a small town. They try to leave, however they are pulled in, and they travel to The Bridge. They find out about themselves, the people on the Bridge explaining their destinies, the importance of their lives. They go on through to The Mirror World, as they see it. (Its called something different by the actual people who live there)
The outline of the story, as we stopped after Chapter 13, where they finally go into The Mirror World, was loose after that. Minor conflict between characters, a coming together of their knowledge and skills, and the Battle in the end, are not fully formulated. I'm really excited about it though. I really want to continue. :3

Oh wow.......I love the sky photos. O.O (the settings on the cammie are excellent sometimes, no?) I must say though, these are beautiful. <3
And...about the second unaltered photo...."ZOMG A UFO!!!!!!!" *giggles* Sorry....had to do it. sweatdrop Great photos though. biggrin

I should say, that although I DO have a lot of special settings, I didn't use any on these. It was the auto setting, for general picture taking. Its an 8 mega pixel Kodac camera, though, so that might have something to do with it...>>
Anyways, I'm uploading pictures I took today at my grandmothers again. It rained most of yesterday, last night and today. Lots of interesting shots, in my opinion! :3

O.O *envy* I really, really wish that it would rain around here....and not stop at some bizarre hour that makes it impossible to photo in. sad
These are very pretty. biggrin ^^
O.O Ooooo. Kodak....I have one of those....mine only goes to 7megapixels though...they've got lovely settings, no? I haven't really played around much with auto in awhile...maybe I should...:3

Yeah, the settings are really cool. I was playing around with it when I first got it, Birthday 2007, and found a TEXT setting? Holy whoa, it was cool. : D
