It was in the park, on a large hill, where the sun twinkled down into the furrows of a large tree. A birdbath full of water was underneath it. There were many branches and hollows and perches...and there was a rainbow of pidge coming for it. It was a very special day. From Baker's flock, Pride flew in with his chickadees, carrying a bundle of seeds. He laid them down on a branch that was covered in food- bread pieces, biscuts, trimmings of animal meat and even sugar in little piles. He licked his beak hungrily. Daimler was following him, a long diamond trinket in her talons. She hung it up over the food table. From Happy Hour's flock, On the Rocks fluttered into the tree, landing daintily. She was nervous of the coffee pidge, but she was going to let it slide today. No murderer would dare attack on such a special day. She was also here to find feathers so she could peek into everyone's dreams. From Half-Price's flock came Spencer, Black Mesa and Nintendo. Spencer perched on a lower branch were several fat chicks sat. He smiled at them softly. He was a nanny for the day. He didn't mind. He didn't like parties much. Mesa was frowning. She had to give something up for the party. She had a human broach, which she hung above a hollow. Nintendo sat in the hollow and began to play merry music on his ocarina. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA4BKZHv1lc&feature=userAlso from Half-price's flock came Canterbury Cafe`. She and the other teamakers had brought their collection of cups and special herbs. She sniffed as they dunked the cups in the bird bath and set them on its stone rim to heat up before adding their special blends. It was party time.

Magic Shop was hovering over the city searching. In her talons was a brand new deck of cards tied with a large pretty red ribbon. She couldn't wait to play a long game of Mau Mau with Björn, the ghost of a veteran (job) German-nun (breed) pidge. Magic's eyes caught sight of a beautiful park that seemed to be holding some festivities. Though Björn was very antisocial and opinionated, Magic Shop decided that the park would be a great place to enjoy the glorious day. She swooped down into the park and lined up the cards. She whistled to the pidge playing an instrument she'd never seen before. "Great work, a marvelous tune," She stated trying to pay respect to the pidges that claimed the park before her.
The thought struck her to ask them if they would like to play Mau Mau or perhaps poker. “Are ve to play or are I to sit here und vait like ein statue?” Björn questioned rather rudely. “Björn your accent is atrocious! Wait a second I want to go see what the other birds are celebrating and ask them if they’d like to join us. Ist das Klar?”
“Kristal Klar.”
“Gut! Ein Minute.”
She wandered over to the group and waved. “Good afternoon. Do you mind me asking what is the cause of celebration?”

Chorus Line, in her festive peacock feathers and a sash that said something in the two-legged language (a Barbie Miss America sash), hurried to the park for the birthday party. Oh how she was ever so excited! But of course, she was coolly professional. Ready for almost any job asked of her. Especially that of entertainment. She was to give a dance unlike any other dance for this very special event. And she was a bit late! Flying as fast as her wings could carry her she searched the park worriedly.
Finally upon seeing all of the other pidge gathered round, she landed near the pidge playing the ocarina. "Hello. Are you the one I'm supposed to see about my performing?" she cooed merrily, preening her feathers just the tiniest bit.

((Sorry if it's a bit untaistful in any manner. Björn is based off my german friend who's always pushy and a bit rude. It was the only into I could think of))
"Hey! Oh mein Gott! Look at that! She reminds me of meine fiancé back when I was alive," Björn loudly called. "Gehen, put in ein good word for me! Tell her that I want to machen sweet love to her!" Magic shook her head and lowered her eyebrows at the perverted ghost pidge. The silly war vet slicked back his feathers as he relived the glory days in his head. Magic Shop fluttered over to the colorful bird beside the musician. "Are you by any chance a performer? You really draw in positive attention. My friend Björn says he finds you pretty." "Nein! I said I vanted to- Hey, are du even listening zu me Magic Shop!?!" Magic Shop ignored him, remembering that nobody could hear him anyways.

(XD I'm cool with it)
Nintendo waited until his song was over before answering chorus line. "Nope, but you can take the hollow below me and i can play you a song to dance to." he said wth a sly wink. He paused as the other pidge came up. "its a birthday! the roosts were all made in different times, but we celebrate all of them here!" he played another jaunty dancing song. (this one is the tune in 'legend of zelda' by SOAD)

((Good Lord that's hysterical! I wonder what The Harvest would do if she accepted. XDDDD))
As Chorus waited for the purple pidge's reply she was taken aback by the checkered pidge's comment. But of course her mask was up, and she wouldn't let the other pidge know Chorus thought she was perhaps the tinest bit crazy. "I am, indeed" She said making a charming bow before continuing, "Chorus Line at your service. And tell your friend thank you for his comment."
When the purple pidge with the ocarina replied she nodded smartly. "Righty then. I'll just go down here. . . If you'll excuse me?" She asked politely before she flew quickly to her spot and began to do what she did best. Her paws doing her justice as she quickly stepped about the stage.

"Well, happy birthday to all the flocks alike then," Magic Shop said to Nintendo. She sat back down to her stack of cards. It was a good spot to see the show and hear the music. "Björn, she said thank you for the compliment. Not that you deserve it you little perv," she mumbled. "I'll have du know I said nothing wrong. I fought in ein war missy and lost mein gut leg and mein gut Augen! Und-" The rest was impossible to understand. Björn just started ranting and raving in German about how life used to be and how he suffered and bla bla bla. Magic Shop took this time to cheat and look at his cards and Umleitung's cards. Umleitung was her friend that turns out was Björn's great grandson. Magic Shop wondered where he could be; he was missing all the festivities.
Meanwhile a brown pidge was trying to bribe the ocarina player to play a song. "Do you know this song? I'd pay anything for that," he tried to whistle the tune to Talk by Coldplay. He didn't want Magic to know he was here yet.

He could'nt help but stare at some of the females outlandish inkings. It really was true that there were all types of pidge out there in these other flocks.

(I tried to make Björn understandable)
"Zo, now fur die game ja? Hey! Vhy you! Stop looking at mein karten(cards)!" Björn shouted as he was unheard. "Never mind that! Björn, look over there!" Magic Shop mumbled. "Was(meaning "what". pronounced "Vas")? Es ist ein Pidge? Es ist nicht toll. (It's a pidge? That's not that awesome.)" "You kidding? He's radiant like a sunset!" "Und you called me a perv for looking at ein schön Madchen (a pretty girl). You're unbelievable!" "Sorry, but I'm not shouting demeaning statements like you buddy. I'm being polite." "Oh, ok Frau Politeness. Just go und talk to him then." "I think I will!" Magic Shop marched away, rather nervous. 'This is nothing I can't handle. Fear is just asubconscious misconception. I'm a brave and tough pidge who cannot be shaken by a pretty face' she said to herself. "Hello, aren't the festivities lovely?" she asked the warm-colored pidge. Björn laughed. "Silly Madchen. Viel you go und talk to "Mr.Sunset" I'll go und see vhat the schön purpur pidge Frau (Pretty purple pidge girl) is up to." He flew off with a grin.

Pound was quite taken back by the albino Pidge who was smiling nearby. She was all checkered! That must have taken some seriously steady inking.
'I know! They are pretty good arnt they? I only heard about this today though, I wouldnt have known If a patient of mine hadnt asked me If I was coming along tonight'
He laughed out loud at how stuck into his work he sounded.
'I'd love for some comedy, I need a little lighthearted entertainment. What do you think of the musician?'

Magic looked over at the musician. Early she had said to her self that he did "Great work" and "a marvelous tune". She still agreed. "Oh he's good. Not sure what it is he's playing with though," she said as she saw Umleitung over by the musician. Magic was glad he made it after all. "Wait, "patient"? So you're a doctor? That must be a a thrilling feeling each day," she said. She never had to worry about life and death on a dayly bases, just the death part.
Umleitung stopped bribing Nintendo and began to notice the entertainer beside him. "Thata boy, mein gut great grandson! Du take after me when it comes zu the ladies!" He looked as though he was walking toward her but then right past her. "Nein nein! Nein! Stupid where are du going?" He flew up to On the Rocks. "Good afternoon miss," he said with only intentions of making new friends: unlike his great grandfather and good friend who could only think about a pretty face. Björn sighed at Umleitung. "Magic look at him, he's nothing like me! Nicht even ein accent! At least teach him some german one of these days..."

Tween flew to the park, thinking over some things as she set her little gift of some late berries down where others could get to them. The scavenger quickly scouted out an unobtrusive spot where she could see most of the festivities. Who knew what she might see or hear with so many birds from different flocks present? She nodded to Nintendo in passing, then settled down to watch the others.

Captcha glided at an relaxed pace towards the park. The purple-inked pidge banked and landed on one of the numerous tree branches, not far from one of the larger branches that held various bread crumbs and other foods. She placed a shiny metal soda tab next to the other trinkets and hummed along with the music that was playing. The inker then gazed around, looking for a familiar face or at least someone she could talk to. So far she couldn't spot anyone from her flock.

Chorus finished her dancing and called out to the crowd. "Are there any entertainers in the audience? Would anyone like to do a little impromptu comedy? Or perhaps a very talented pidge from another walk of life?"
