Basically, Erik has decided that selling gold thru GoPets has been greatly undercut by people selling gold thru the forums (via paypal).
SOOOOO to solve this, he stupidly decided to make all current gold virtually worthless.
Instead of GoPets gold packs 30 gold for $3
it will be 3000 gold for $3.
In addition, prices in the shops will rise by 25-100 times their current price.
Therefore if you have 2000 gold saved up in your account, it won't even be worth $3 after this update. "virtually worthless". BUT if you spend them NOW and buy the items you want NOW, you'll at least have items instead of gold after this update.
