I have high hopes that Our Lord and Savior Obama's reign won't be one totally of terror and misery.

Countdown until Obama has to leave office

History will probably show that the Kennedy who collapsed whispered benedictions on blessed Obama's head as he was whisked to the hospital. This is the same history that gleefully maligns everything a Republican does but brushes over all the Democrat gaffes, except for anything a Dem does in the conservative direction. And lies.

Meanwhile every photograph I saw of the inauguration was the worms'-eye view, showing Obama as godlike and what not. Jesus better watch out, there's a new redeemer risen. People who have placed their faith in Obama won't be disappointed even if his administration deprives honest people of work and gives it all away overseas to curry favor with "the world." It will be just more belt-tightening as US strength undergoes deliberate, continuing erosion.

And maybe within 50 years we'll emerge from this the way Japan did after WWII - something to be reckoned with and not a country of obedient sheep. Inexact analogy, I know nothing of Japanese history. It's just that after terrible times, the people are sadder but wiser, God (the real one) willing.

I'm getting a concealed gun permit this summer and getting a gun. I'm going to stick it out. He's got one chance. It's a very slim chance, but hey, I'll give him the "benefit of the doubt." But it's not looking good at all.
