 Everything was quiet. The giggles of the children were gone, the happy songs of the birds were silenced, and the whistle of the winds though the trees had been quieted to a breeze. One would think nothing stirred in the quiet park but the soft breeze--but they would be mistaken.
"How did I even end up here?" The collie muttered to herself, glancing about quickly. She certainly wasn't the best camoflauge at night, with her snow-white fur and hot pink skeletal markings. She sat, tired from her walking, and thought over where she was. Great idea, Thal! Let's go run off and explore! Why don't we get lost while we're at it? She snorted at herself, and went on. I passed that boulder not to long ago... The city should be somewhere...
(Ugh. Excuse me if it's a tad off, it's late and I'm a bit rusty~ xD And sorry it took so long, my mom kept dragging me around)

Caesios knew exactly where he was. He was trotting briskly through the park, heading towards a secluded area where he had earlier buried some bones. He sniffed the air, but failed to catch the scent of the other collie wandering trough the same area. Cae looked almost wolf-like, quick and stealthy in the moonlight cast between the trees, silver eyes glowing brightly.
Ahh, finally here! He grinned, sniffing and pawing softly at the ground. Soon he would be gnawing on a tasty treat! He was soon digging furiously, flinging dirt wildly behind him.

Thalia's ears perked, both scenting the arrival of another collie, and hearing the digging. That scent.. It's almost familiar... She shook her head of that though, and went back to the sound. Her ears drew back as she crept forward steadily. She stopped behind a loose bunch of bushes, and stared wide-eyed at the figure. Was.. Was that a wolf? Silver, big claws... "Wh-Who are you?" She barked steadily, stepping out of her spot in the bushes, eyes narrowed.

Cae grunted, exerting all of his strength into digging. I know they were here.. did someone find my spot? He was concentrating so hard on his present task that he didn't even hear Thalia approaching until she called out to him. Snapping out of his trance at the stranger's bark, he whipped around to face the other collie, hackles raised, making his skeletal markings all the more spooky.
But as Caesios stared at her, frozen in place, his hackles dropped slowly, and his eyes widened. His snarl faded, undistorting the skeletal marking on his muzzle; the same exact marking that she bore in pink and white. A cool breeze rustled through the trees. Cae's nostrils wiggled and flared as he took in her scent... It was familiar; maybe that was why he hadn't noticed her before..
No longer threatening but standing in a stiff, awkward stance, he replied to her in a puzzled, slightly anxious voice, "I'm.. Caesios... Who are you?"

Thalia instinctively drew her lips back in a snarl as the wolf-like collie turned around. She stalked forward a step or two, ready to... Were those skeleton markings..? Her eyes slowly became un-narrowed, and lips untensed as she stared blankly at the collie.
She laid her ears backand the name. Caesios... Caesios... I know I've heard that name somewhere! She glanced at the collie nervously. "I'm... Thalia." She mumbled, a tone of confusion in her voice as she inwardly fought about where he name was from.

"Thalia..?"
He repeated her name, and the same thoughts that were turning in her mind were turning in his. He tilted his head to the side, at ease now that he knew she wasn't there to try to hurt him. The tip of his tail flicked back and forth just a little and his ears shifted towards her curiously. He took a step towards her to get a better sniff. Yes, he had to know this collie; he just couldn't remember...
"Have we met before?"

"I..."
She sat--plopped more, really--with a puzzled expression. That fur. Those markings. That smell. It was his own, yes, but.. It had a hint of something warm, something familiar, something close... Something like... Family. Kin.
"I think we have. You're going to think I'm some kind of crazy stray, but..." She said, looking him straight in the eye. "Who was your mother?"

Cae stared wide-eyed at Thalia. He almost laughed out loud, Is this for real? It's crazy, but..
"...That's what it is. You.. remind me of things I don't remember, from when I was young. That's what you're getting at, isn't it? I remind you, too? I don't know my mother. I can't even picture her, but her scent, a-and yours.." The collie began stumbling over his words; his mind was racing too fast for his mouth to keep up. "W-we... the markings on your back.. mine.. I-I mean.. and.. Your eyes. She had blue-violet eyes." Cae's voice trailed off into silence for a moment. He stared at her, then at the ground and his mud-stained paws with a baffled, almost pained look upon his face. He looked up into her eyes again. His next words were more of a statement than a question.
"We're related, aren't we?" Caesios shook his head lightly in disbelief. "Your mother.. Do you remember?"
Is she the same as mine?

Thalia stared wide-eyed at Caesios, mouth slightly open, mind racing to comprehend all that was happening, all that was going on. "Y...Yes. We must be related..." She mumbled.
"Mother...S-She had my eyes... Yes..." Her voice trailed off as she looked over the collie. Same markings. Same breed. Same mother.... "Sh-She w-was silvery, just like you...White skeleton markings..." She muttered, almost to herself. She stayed silent for awhile, seconds, minutes.
"Well." She sighed, looking around a bit. "What do we do now? If we're related?"

He nodded at Thalia's response, it would only make sense that her -or their, if he dared believe it- mother had her eyes and his fur.
Cae sat down. In the short time that he had spent with Thalia, he had gone through a wide array of emotions; he felt exhausted. He tried with all his might to recall his early childhood, but all he could retrieve were faint images that might have been fragments of dreams rather than actual memories. His mother's violet eyes, her warmth, and his siblings wriggling beside him. Siblings. There were more than just him and Thalia, weren't there? Yes... If his memories were true.
Thinking of is own sons and daughters now, Cae compared their lives to his recollections. They were good pups, and growing so fast. They knew and loved their mother and their father... They wouldn't forget them, ever, even if they were going to live someplace far away. But Caesios himself had been separated from his dog family long before he was ready, barely after he had begun to open his eyes and ears... Humans were the only family he remembered clearly. They had bottle-fed him, raised him, trained and socialized him. But how had he been separated from his real mother so early in the first place? Stolen? Lost? ...Abandoned?
Trying to shake off his feelings, Caesios stood up and smiled weakly, wagging his tail a little bit. He wanted to lighten the mood a little, for the both of them; take the edge off of the shock.
"W-we should be happy to have found each other, Thalia. Long lost family, huh.." He approached her nervously, and placed his muzzle against her shoulder, nuzzling softly before taking it away. "Come, let's get out of the cold... We can talk.. I want to know more."(( Wall of text. I guess I got a bit carried away. ;-; ))

Thailia desperately tried to go back in her memory, back to mother. No luck, as all she could go back to was the warmth of mother, and what she looked like. However, she too did remember siblings. It was more of a blur, but there were others... Silvers and pinks and whites danced behind the blur, as if teasing her. She sighed, digging her way out of her memory in time to her Caesios.
She gave a contented sigh, smiling warmly at him as he pulled back. "Right..." She had barely noticed the cold in all of this, but now that he mentioned it... "Well, I'll tell you all I know. But who knew I had such a big, silver-y wolf as a brother?" She teased lightly, chuckling lightly.

Caesios snorted, "Me? A big silvery wolf? Haha, I'm no such thing." He snarled teasingly and laughed, turning to lead the way to the city. They'd be able to get into 'his' garage through the doggy door, it'd be warm in there and there were blankets laid out on the ground. The humans wouldn't notice for a while, and even if they did, they'd probably be more than willing to place an extra bowl of food on the ground at meal time. Waiting for her to begin walking before going on, he started asking questions.
"So, were you with our mother for a long time? Do you remember what she was like? I remember bits and pieces, but nothing certain.. I've been with humans as long as I can remember."
