~~~~Traedyn smiled as his sister ran toward him. "Big Brother!" She called out happily throwing herself into his arms. Trae merely laughed, handling the girls weight easily. Hugging her as the momentum of her jump made them spin. "It's good to see you too, Maelynn." He said putting her down. She smiled, he was one of the few that could call her that and her not flinch. "Where were you?" she asked with a slight pout. Treadyn noticed this and lifted a brow. The girl was almost at the stage of awakenment and she still acted like a youngling at times. "Well?" She asked putting her hands on her hips. Traedyn sighed...she would find out eventually..."If you must know the Council sent for me..." he started. She blinked, confused. "But why would they? You've done nothing wrong." she said as they began to walk. "No....I haven't..." he replied. The fact was the reason the Council had summoned him wasn't because of wrong-doing...far from it. They said for him as a Variant with all he had accomplished over the years was beyond expectation of many Pure-Bloods and Nobles.
~~~~"Trae..." The blonde said, snapping him back to reality. He sighed. "Callie....something ....happened...." he stated softly. His sister paused and looked at him. "What is it? What's wrong?" she asked, instantly worried. He smiled slightly, just like his sister to do so... "They....they decided it is time I am Joined to a Vampyress." he stated. Callie froze. "DO WHAT?!!!!!" Traedyn flinched at the reaction. He had known it wasn't going to end well. "Now listen-" he started. "How in the seven hells could they do this?! Saying something like that! They are practically ordering you to find a mate! Of all the no good, rotten-" "Mealynn, listen to me!" he said interrupting her. She stopped a moment looking at him. "Pure-Bloods are becoming rare...it makes perfect sense for them to wish to...increase our numbers...it is not like I don't have a choice in this..." "Oh you do?" Callie asked an air of sarcasm to her words as her arms crossed. "Traedyn...they are treating you like a damned Stallion. They want to make sure Pure-Bloods don't die out so they want all the Noble Pures to be good little Vampys and...make more. What's wrong with mixed bloods, huh? Whats wrong with having the lower class mate with the Nobles?" She demanded.
~~~~Traedyn was greatful he had decided on telling her then instead of later, at least they were alone. He put his hands on her shoulders. "Nothing....absolutely nothing is wrong with it, Callie. And don't let them try to make you believe otherwise...but they also have a point. This is needed right now...it won't be forever." Her violet eyes met his garnet ones. "But Trae..." She started. "They have given me time to find someone, Maelynn so please stop worrying." he stated. "Time to find someone..? You mean you might be able to find your soulmate?!" She asked hopefully. Trae barely repressed the urge to roll his eyes. "Callie you know how rare soulmates are for ones like us..."he started. The blonde frowned, she disliked how her brother always talked like that...like he never expected to find his true love. She just prayed he would find them before the Council became impatient with him...her brother deserved love. "You might think so Big Brother...but I know that mine is out there somewhere and its only a matter of time before we find eachother." She said determined.
~~~~He smiled then. "If that's the case, when you find them don't ever let them go Brat...even if you have to defy the Concil for them." he said strongly. Callie smiled. "If they can meet your approval than My soulmate could handle anything."

"HELL-O!!" a voice exclaimed as he tackled Trae. Garrett chuckled. "Hey old friend. oohh Callie girl. My you've gotten so so big since I last saw you.." he replied, smiling. the man behind him shaking his head, his shades hiding his eyes from view, crossing his arms.

"Gods....Garrett get off me! I can't breathe!" Trae said shoving the man a grin on his face. It had been a while.
Callie blushed slightly and looked down a second. "Glad you decided to visit Garrett." she said politely.

The pure-blood chuckled. "Noo!!" he mocked whined."I haven't got to snuggle the Treadyn yet!" he teased. He chuckled.
The man sighed. "Garrett.. perhaps you can do this another. I do have a deadline here." he purred low.
"Geez lighten up wold ya Shadow.." he muttered and stood, holding out his hand to help Trae up.

Trae shook his head before accepting the hand to stand up. Same old Garrett keeping him on his toes.
Callie looked at the new guy and tilted her head slightly. She had never seen him before. She sniffed lightly and almost gasped. A shifter...
"So Gar, whose your friend?" Traedyn asked.

"Oh yeah. He's only here for a little bit.. Shadow, I like you to met Traedyn and Callie, friends of mine. Shadow's is a hunter. " he stated.
"I have heard of Traedyn. A Council member or was at one time. Pleased to met you sir. And you my lady." he replied, bowing lightly.

Trae nodded at him in acknowledgment . "It is always good to see a new face around here...your welcome to stay as long as you wish of course..." he said. Trae was never one to judge other because of their race or status.
Callie smiled slightly at her brothers invite, knowing the man was probably not used to such except by Garrett and a few rare others. "Why is a Hunter all the way here?" she asked curiously.

Shadow nodded to the man before turning to Callie, crossing his arms. "Apparently the vampires have a rouge they can't handle themselves." he replied to her, lifting a brow.

Callie bit her tongue at that one....slightly. "Well what do you know....the council has actually lightened up if they are willing outside help. You have anything to do with that Big Brother?" she asked turning to look at him slightly.
Traedyn kept looking at Garrett without saying a word. Most knew him as a Variant who believed in equality of the species....much to several pure-bloods dislikings.

"Hmm..." she thought a moment before shrugging. "I'm going down to the lake!" she said before turning to go.
"Maelynn..." Traedyn said in a warning tone.
"Oh come on Big Brother! It's broad daylight! I doubt there are going to be any 'visitors'...I'll be fine." She said smiling at him.
He sighed, he knew he should lighten up about her going off to the lake...they had never had any problems. But he couldn't help being the protective older brother.

Garrett chuckled. "Always causing trouble.... the same o Callie.." he replied. He turned to Traedyn. "so.. did I miss anything while I was gone?" he asked.
Shadow followed the girl till she was gone from his sight before turning his gaze to the pure-bloods.

Garrett's eyes widened. "They.. are? Man... sheesh.. and I thought they would give you more time..." he replied, frowning. "I know they have been getting on my arse about finding a new mate issue with Azriel being so young.. but you? I don't get it." he stated.
Shadow rolled his eyes and made his leave.
