I'd like to dedicate a thread to those wonderful plus sized cosplayers who aren't afraid to have fun even though many object. I myself am quite large, but I love to cosplay and I think that as long as you are sufficiently covered, go ahead!

I think cosplay is for everyone, as long as you wear clothes that flatter your figure, no matter what size it is.

This is a picture of me and my sister and a random Mars cosplayer at Otakuthon 08. I am the large girl on the right; my sister is the itty bitty girl on the left. I'm proud to say I;ve lost weight since then^^

Congratulations~! Nice job on that cosplay, too. xD Sailor Moon cosplayers always have a special place in my heart -- it was my first anime. : > And yeah, that is a nice skirt. ._. Pleats are haaaaard.
I wanna see any other cosplays you have, too~! D:

Thanks, guys. My mother actually made the costume sweatdrop I hope none of you are against cosplayers who don;t make their costumes.... I'm going to make my own this year, but I'm really scared xd I've never sewn anything in my life. Also, I have one other cosplay, but it was a commission and it sucked really bad and I'm kind of embarrassed about it....

No worries, I have yet to completely make my own costume. I always need alot of help, as me and sewing machines don't exactly get along well. I always end up sewing my hand to the fabric. sweatdrop

I do a combination of altering an sewing. Some turn out better than others. Quite honestly, I don't know what I'd do it my mom wasn't willing to help me make my cosplays!!!

I think it's awesome if your large and not afraid to be your fav anime or video game character. I love love love to cosplay and it would get pretty boring if i could only cosplay large charas. just make sure you look good doing it.
I'm a size 18 and I'm going to the NYCC as Jessie from team rocket. And i'm damn proud of it. XD

I hate when people say that a person's cosplay is bad just because they have a fuller figure. If it is dead on, I say it still looks awesome.

I'm proud to say I;ve lost weight since then^^ Its okay to be plus sized and proud, but even better to be plus sized, but working to improve yourself like you are! Congrats! I hope my weight loss efforts go the same. Also: Here's me with Patrick Seitz who voices Chopin in Eternal Sonata. I'm dressed as the main character, Polka.

I totally don't get the links in the poll on the top of the page, what do they have to do with plus sized cosplay?
