Not a literal twist, no. Basically, I was looking through my sister's closet for something I could use for a cosplay. Before you say anything, I had her permission-and it's not like she can use much of it; she's pregnant.
Anyways, as I was looking I found a cute little black dress. At first glance I thought I could use it to do Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. Taking it out, I realized the dress was only similar in appearance, but it wouldn't work if i wanted to be accurate. It's got a broader neckline, shorter cut, the sleeves fit, and it does have shape. The thing is, as I looked at it I was like, "Hey, maybe I can do an older version of her."
Her outfit is simple enough, but I imagine as she'd get older, the little details may increase as well. I've never been one for little details, and while I have thought of a few other things, I'd like to get some outside suggestions. So aside from the dress, what else could I do to make an older version of her?

Making a twist for a cosplay is always fun. I made one of my characters who was killed (Brandon Heat from Gungrave). I cosplayed as him with his suit but i added some make-up to make it look like i was just shot, fans ate it up, so did i lol. For an older Kiki(good idea btw) i would maybe make her broom she used old looking to make it look wear and tear(dunno how the movie ended, been a long time since i saw it haha sweatdrop ). Depending how long your hair is you can make it look like she made her hair grow longer, and it would be a nice touch to wear boots, wear jewelry, or even some gloves to show she's still working hard doing delivery. Hope i helped and hope it turns out well!
