After far, far too much inactivity, I return to the world of Gaia!
I don't know why I was gone so long, it perplexes me so. But, while revising for exams, I randomly thought about this place and suddenly remembered all about it and my lack of being here for ages!
So, sorry for sort of vanishing, but how's everybody doing nowadays? how many of the old Gates members do we still have lurking around?
I myself am not doing too badly, I'm in my second year of University now, and life is sorta trundling along. Major developments have changed me as a person dramatically since I was last here though, so you could say you're now talking to Skully 2.0.
Anyway, it's great to be back!

Skully, I am so glad to see you again. *smoochies* hehe!!
So this is Skully 2.0. Omg what changed you??? And wow, your second year, I am astonished, how time does fly. Are you doing well on your exams?
Entervixen just popped back in. Also Jenn! You remember Jenn from Hawaii, don't you? She is now east coast states. I have to go and visit the board.
I am preparing for an oral exam on Saturday. It's a totally tough rigorous exam and I may not pass it on the first go-round. Josef my bf (fiance) says to think of it as a reconnaissance mission. xd Yeah, I have 3 years to pass it so if I don't get it this time, there is always next. But I am studying...sort of on and off. Maybe I need to take it more seriously. Well, I will know in a few days.
Otherwise, things are going well. I just want to hear more about you!
Oh and Josef and I just bought a townhouse together. It's fantastic!!! I am really happy here.

Wow Uma, good luck on the exam, I've been revising for mine for 3 weeks straight, can't wait for them to be over. Glad to know you're getting on well though.
Bit strange everyone coming back at once, 'tis good though.
As for me, since I was last here I've learnt and lost love.....twice, which obviously changed me somewhat. I've also become a much bigger lover of music, which, although I know doesn't seem much, has changed me so much. I dress completely differently now and have far different hobbies. I mean, my profile is so out of date now, as my hobbies nowadays just tend to be going to gigs and chairing the Rock Society here at University.
Certain events have made me so much less naive than when I was here last too. I know far more of the world than I did before, which can't be a bad thing.
So yeah, Skully 1.0 was a naive geek who played board-games and dressed badly. Skully 2.0 is a wiser metalhead who spends his time at gigs and dresses in ways which scare old ladies on the street.
Life is going okay though, I've got myself a good group of friends here, a University-rented house for the next year and a half while I finish my degree and I'm involved in a lot of societies and social stuff.
As for exams, I never pass judgement on them, for fear of jinxing it, but I don't think they've been going too disastrously. Hell, in my first year I was getting firsts and 2.1's, which are the equivalent of A's and B's, just a pity first year doesn't count towards your final degree mark.
I'm sorry if you were expecting something dramatic like me becoming a monk though :p
Calypso, I shall go and post in the RNG now.

SKULLY! I just came back too, isn't that neato? I wondered where you had gone, it's good to see you back though! I haven't been up to much really, just my usual stuff *cough*WoW*cough* and writing. I am working on a novel, isn't that spiffy? I think so at least. Anyways, yay! You're back!

It's a blend of both, actually. More dark fantasy than horror, but still quite a bit of the latter in it.

I am glad to hear that your experiences for good or other have not made you bitter but created a new you that sounds like a positiver person. I think that learning and losing love is actually a "learning curve". You do get to the point where you don't lose it so much. smile I am glad you have new hobbies, new friends, etc, sounds awesome!!! You are a great guy with a great personality, I have always thought so, I have always liked you very much! So I am thinking that you will have good things coming your way for relationships in the future! But yeah, I am glad you are not a monk. lol But a metalhead, omg! Haha!! Never would have expected that. Do you wear like black or something? xd

Nice to see you're getting along well Zedd, everything seems to be going well for you; glad to hear it!
Uma, thank you so much for the compliments, it means so much. It was really a "wow" moment when I read that, thankyou. You're a great person yourself Uma; you're incredibly friendly, warm and interesting, with an amazing personality yourself; I like you a lot too.
As for being a metalhead, yeah, I hardly wear anything that's not black. Today I've been wearing a band t-shirt, a padlock around my neck, baggy black trousers with loads of chains attached to them, an elaborate black longcoat, combat boots and circular, Ozzy Osbourne style glasses. Compare that to the geeky t-shirts and tracksuit bottoms I used to wear and it's a little bit of a change.
