What ho everyone! This isn't really an issue but I think it's kind of important we discuss it. I'm sure at some stage we've all had a friend who has been *really* down on their luck and has gone on to suffer from self-harm, an eating disorder, depression or anything else really.
So I think it would be nice if we could come up with a little 'guide' of sorts that friends and family can use to find out how they can best support and help out their loved one. I know I could have certainly used one in the past when a friend told me about something terrible that had happened to her. I really wanted to help out but I had no idea what to do.
Good idea? ._.;

yes, I do think it's a good idea. I think you aren't getting replies because people don't want others to know the negative thing in their life unless they are the closest of friends. I dont think people will discuss things openly in Gaia as we want to be upbeat and "more on the surface"!. It would have to be more private. yes?

This is a good idea, but you've got it so broad right now it's hard for people to just come up with advice.
But with all the problems I've had in my life, the thing that always helped me most was when people just let me know that they cared. Cared cared cared.
