The sound of the wind was a bit loud almost a howl. The sky was bright however, and clear. The trees arched back and forth, creaking loudly. With late winter upon them, the woods were nothing but a large mass of empty limbs and trees. Tangles of briers or such were hinted here or there. The forest floor was covered in a thick layer of leaves, in varies colors.
A gold and red figure stood at the top of a hillside that sloped out of the trees. His golden mane dances around him in a wild fray as the wind whipped up then died down once more.
He had returned. Lien. He had returned to the land of his birth. Fear gripped him for a moment, would either of the young mares who had touched his heart be seen? He hoped not. With a sigh, he closed his eyes, that were a dark golden color.

It was indeed a blustery day, her wings remained folded at her sides as she wished not for her feathers to be torn from their places. Standing in the lower vallies, she was out in the open letting the wind flow through her long hair. Bright golden eyes watched the clearness of the skies, watching those that dared fly with the winds that whipped about.
"Silly little things." A bell like voice giggled as she shook her head a little before looking around once more.
Trying to knock her hair from her face, Stelara walked forward, though it was impossible. Sighing she just stood there letting her long golden mane and tail wave about her, though some strands getting tangled around her long horn. Oh, that would be hard to untangle she just knew it. What bad luck she was gaining this day, she thought, hoping the wind would stop or at least slow to a gentle breeze. So Frustrating!

The wind had seemed to settle, but not by much. Shifting, his tail swung lazily back and forth. His long mustache on either side picked up dancing in the wind, tickling his muzzle. Scrunching his nose, Lien reared up before he went thundering down the hill slop and completely out of the forest.
He did not know where he ran, just that he did so. The wind that was frantic tangled his mane and mustache. He let his eyes close for a moment, savoring the feeling. That was his mistake. When Lien came over a hill and went down into the vallies, a lone mare stood there. His eyes widdened, realizing he'd crash into her. He took the time then to try and slow.
Ending up skidding in place, right before her. Panting, Lien turned his golden eyes up to the mare. Oh no, what had he done? Or almost done. "S...Sor...", he panted ," so..rry."

Having shaken the hair that was tangled about her horn away, she blinked as a flash of red suddenly appeared at her side. Side stepping a little her mane and tail swaying as she moved before settling as the wind had eased enough to cease the whipping of her hair. Feathered wings had fanned themselves out at her sides, coming around to face the panting stranger.
"no, that's alright." She assured him a bit shaken "Probably my fault for not looking where I was going." Even if she were just standing there.
Stelara looked the stranger over, noticing that he was someone that she had never seen before. His strange coat seemed to shine more like scales then a velvet coat, much like her own. His tail wasn't like hers either, she didn't much think about the hair that came from the sides of his muzzle, she was female and he was a male after all. Tilting her head a little she looked back toward him, he was certainly bigger then she was when he stood straight.
"I don't think I've ever seen anyone like you around here. My name's Stelara." She smiled easing away the shaken effects. "Who might you be stranger?" her head tilting a little, her golden mane shifting once more over her alabaster shouder.

His eyes raked over the mare before him. It took him a moment, blinking. She was so very....golden. Beautiful! He flushed, ducking his head for a moment. If he were no so incrediably red, one was sure to notice.
Backing up a moment, he cleared his throat and straightened up. He could not let another female get the best of him. "It was my fault, obviously. I was unaware of my surroundings."
Lien let his eyes trail over her once more. She was white, white as new fallen snow but her mane and tail glowed a very bright golden color. Her eyes matched them, he found himself watching her, without realization. She also had a pair of wings, which she seemed to keep to herself. Smart, with the power of the winds today. At least they had calmed down reasonably. To top it off, she had a horn. Just one, not liek the two spiraling out of the back area of his head. "I-I've...I haven't been here in a year or so....I am Lien." He tried to draw himself up a bit more confidently. "'Tis nice to meet such a lovely lady."

Stelara could feel the eyes of the stranger watching her moving over her body and observing her features. Keeping her dove white wings close to her body she was glad that the winds had finally ceased so that it didn't seem that they would have to yell over them. A small smile came to her face as he refered to her as a 'miss'... Not that she minded or anything.
"It is a pleasure meeting you too, Lien." She still smiled watching his red coat some, wondering what he might have been thinking. "Perhaps our little meeting wasn't either of our faults." She mused before shaking her head a little, her hair rippling in the motions.
"So you were gone a while?" her head tilting once more. "What kind of lands had you gone to see?" She sounded fascinated that he traveled to more lands then just the Eden. "I bet they are nice lands." She could only guess, but if he had been gone this long that they must have been nice. At least a little...

She seemed rather intrigued at the thought of his absence. Or perhaps more that he had left the Eden. Raising a brow, he glanced towards the sky. "I suppose...There are many humans, many different creatures. The lands...I believe the hum who I was with, Iceis, claimed it was called....Gaia." He looked like he was pondering something. Realizing this, he looked to her once more smiling again. "Have you never left the Eden?"

Stelara blinked a little when he spoke of other creatures that laid outside the Eden. Golden eyes almost seemed to sparkle at the though of there being other worlds, other lands to explore and see. Her mind was lost in the guessing on how many lands there could be besides those that she has grown within. Looking up at him again she let her wings fan out a little somewhat showing off their glossy whiteness.
"Really, there are many other lands out there then just Eden?" she sounded still quite lost within thought. She blinked when he asked if she had never left Eden. "No, I haven't. This is the only place I know of, the only land that I know exists." She looked away a little, trying to hide the sadness that crept into her golden eyes.
She thought his lucky to be able to move between lands, to see things that some, like herself, couldn't see. Perhaps somewhere out there she could find a path that lead out of Eden to start a grand adventure, but til now... She hadn't really thought about there being other lands, this was all so exciting. Perhaps later she would have to set out on her own journey to find these other lands... If she had no one else to go with that is.
"Mind if I ask what prompted you to return to Eden? I mean, if you liked this other world better, why come back here?" Maybe that was a little out of line, but too late now it was off her tongue and in the air... She looked back at Lien with the same starry eyed expression as before, really wanting to know all that she could.

The red stallion chuckled, watching her. Strelara was interesting in her own, at least to him. She seemed to fascinated by the thought of another place than Eden. Lien liked Eden well enough, yet it had always seemed to so lonely to him. The other lands held more people, no Equu like himself of course, but others.
He found himself watching her wings. The others...they had, had wings...But Strelara had pure white wings, like a dove.
"I-I um...Well...There are many, I am sure. I have not been that far. " Lien stated. He noted her sadness, suddenly feeling the urge to make her happy again. "That is not a bad thing. I would not know of it, if my mother had not passed on." He shifted slightly, uneasily. "It was not that I...Liked the other lands more. 'Twas simply...I need time away. I had to get away...." He looked away, his mane shifted, drifting over his eyes.

She could feel his eyes watching her again, mainly her wings. Turning her head a little she looked back at the fluffy wings that were attached to her back, soon looking back toward Lien. She really did wonder what was going through his head. Keeping her own silence she watched his goden eyes with her own, mind pondering over many things itself Like this other world, she wanted to see it, but didn't dare go... Alone.
Stelara tilted her head when he mentioned that he just needed to get away. But away from what? Blinking a couple of times she shook her head not wanting to pry, though it did add more to the questions that were building.
"Oh," She replied simply folding her wings once more to her sides. "I suppose that we all need to get away sometimes."

Lien looked away, flushing once more. Thank goodness you could not see it through his red coat. She had noticed he was staring. It was just that she was quiet lovely...like...like a golden treasure he had found.
It is absurd, you had just returned, Lien. You just had two major issues with this same problem. No, it was not the same. Both of the other mares...Had been foals, he had known them since their youth. Perhaps that had been the problem.
Glancing up, he nodded. "I suppose everyone does..."
He shifted, and looked about him. "It is nice though, to be back in the open spaces. To see such lovely grasslands." Lien looked towards her with a warm smile.

Stelara watched Lien for a moment as he looked around, apparently somewhat embarrassed of what was going on and having some mental thoughts. Keeping herself quite for a moment she turned away a little looking out over the open, her hair ruffling as the wind came up again. The silky old strands waving over her shoulders some as it passed.
"How about we move to someplace more sheltered. I feel that the winds are going to pick up again and I would hate to have my mane tangled about my horn." She somewhat bemoaned looking cross eyed at the spiraling pearl.
Not really waiting for an answer she started walking toward a small enclave of trees that seemed to act like a shelter against the ravenous winds that plagued the Eden today. There was something a brewing, she could feel it in her bones. even if the clouds were far and few between, something was coming. Golden eyes glancing ever skyward she had to wonder what ever was going to happen wouldn't be too healthy for those caught out in the open...
Turning back toward Lien, she worried about him, if he had chosen to leave, she would follow to make sure that he was alright. No matter how tangles her hair got, a good washing would cure it and she wasn't afraid of water in the least... besides when it pelted down harshly like arrows or something of that sort. For now, she would just keep an eye on the skies and hopes that her feelings were all wrong and that nothing was coming... For Lien's sake...

Lien nodded, picking up to walk along side her. "I think you look lovely..even askew." He flushed once more and ducked his head.
The wind seemed to pick up a bit more. "We would do best to take cover soon...I am expecting." He paused to lift his nose in the air and take a deep breath, then snorted. "It is far off...but quiet readable..." He shifted..."I've a good nose..."He gave a look of sheepishness. Once more he turned towards the trees picking up pace and a place next to Stelara.

Stelara looked at Lien as he sniffed at the air to confirm what she was feeling. There was something coming and it would be there soon. She wasn't all that sure what it would be, but it certainly wouldn't be good. As the wind picked up once more it drowned out much that was said and was going to howl before the evening came. Breaking the lines of the trees, she headed further through them and to where it was more or less sheltered from what was coming.
"I'm sorry, the wind was howling at me." She appologized not hearing that he had called her beautiful... Well lovely at the very least.
Golden eyes were focused on the ever clear skies that were slowly beginning to cloud over. There was bound to be rain and other things bound to follow as well. Shaking her head and trying to tuck her long hair behind a wing so that it was out of her way, she looked toward Lien whom had followed her.
"This spot should be safe enough." She nodded hopefully. "Not quite the thing you would like to have on your return huh? A bad storm and all." She pouted lightly as her ears perked up as the sounds from the skies thundered in the distance. The far distance, she wasn't really 'scared' but she jumped a little to plant herself close to the red dragon.

Lien nodded ", it is fine...I think should take more shelter soon." He was not quiet use to staying in the rain. He had stayed more indoors like for a while.
A slight smile touched his nuzzle. "This is quiet fine, I mind not the rain, it replenishes the earth." Lien turned slightly surveying infront of them. "There are caves there I believe. If you wish to take shelter before the rain comes. Suddenly the sound of thunder came and lighting rolled across the sky. He blinked, looking down-only a bit- to see the mare now closer. "Scared?" He said, his ears perking up, then smiled a comforting smile. "Come." He turned and headed deeper into the forest.
