The sun hadn't yet risen when Echo woke up, feeling colder than usual. She sat up, feeling the strange, oppressive feeling that was strange, yet familiar. She breathed deeply, tasting the air, still slightly unsure of why the feeling was familiar. She then jumped up excitedly, and tore the curtains open. "Snow!" she said excitedly to herself. I haven't seen this stuff since I left home! she thought, and pressed her face against the window.

Fat white flakes, ambling slowly, spiraled down gently in the gray predawn until they hit the frosted ground to cover the dead grass, and the few living weeds there were still left, with what would become a glistening, pristine, blanket. The trees, now mostly bare, were frosted with white lining the last leaves hanging down with slight traceries of snow clinging onto the noticeable veins in the leaves. The skeletal remains of the stone structures in the courtyard were coated with a thick layer of the white stuff. She watched, enchanted, as a flake the size of her little fingernail landed perfectly against the frost lace-etched window, only to melt and form even more blooms and twists of frost along the clear pane. She giggled, and opened her window, sticking her torso out so she could catch a flake on her tongue before she did anything else.

Finch had happened to be wandering past the doors to the front of the school when she notice the snow. Snow already? she thought unhappily. Joy.

Tara groaned hearing Echo wake her up. " What the hell is snow ? " She asked as another yawn touched her lips. She saw strange white flakes falling from the sky and wrinkled her nose at the cold." brrrr close the window Echo we'll die of cold if you don't "

Echo laughed, and closed the window, only to begin rummaging through her clothing for a coat. "Come on Tara, get a coat on!" she said. "We're going out side to play, before Theron and Ray get out there!" she grabbed a coat for herself, and threw another one to Tara, and puled on her boots. "Pull up the hood if you've got a problem with your hair!" she said, and ran out, to be the first one into the snow.

Ishda woke up slowly, stretching, to look outside in his own time. He then grinned, seing Echo romp around as she did every year. He began getting dressed, his first assault already being planned.

Imiary slept deeper, being as she was, curled up between the room's heater and the closet, with her blanket around her.

Ray's eyes open groggily from Theron's shouting, "What- What- Wh....a? Did you say snow?" Ray jumped out of his bed and pressed his face against the empty spot on the window before he looked back at Theron. "It's Snowing Theron! Snowing!" He exclaimed while gently shaking Theron with enthusiasm. Letting go of Theron he quickly went to his closet and started grabbing clothes, pulling them on as fast as he could.

Rain pulled her self out of her sleep and looked out the window. "Namen!" she exclaimed, "Namen! It's snowing!" The only other time Rain had seen it snow was when she was little with her parents.

Damien felt cold hair gently caressing his naked chest. His eyes snapped open as he sat up and looked out the window to see the snow. A big grin stretched across his face as he jumped up and ran out into the hall. Once he got to Diente's room he started banging on the door. "Diente! You better get up and come outside with me!" he shouted before he ran off at full speed down the hall to go outside, only wearing his pajama pants.

Diente fell out of his bed from the sudden banging on the door. "Why, is it raining gold?" he responded, but his cousin was already gone. Looking out the window he could see why his cousin was so excited. A wide, playful grin stretched across his face as he stood up and dashed out of the door. Running down the hall he passed his cousin up before he burst out the door in matching attire of his cousin. "Yaaaaaaaahoooooooooooooo!!!" he shouted as he started running through the snow.

Illidan looked out his window and shuddered at the sight of the white death. "Ugh.... that stuff is gross." he sighed while walking to change.

Aoi had long returned to her normal self, somewhat. Her blue eyes looked out the window as she smiled. "Beautiful!" she said to herself while standing there and watching it a little longer.

Vanna was about to leave as she saw Diente, and Damien run down the hall. "Ah!" She let out as she jumped back into her room, to avoid them colliding into her. Slowly leaving her room this time, she looked down the hall both ways, making sure no one else was running down the hall. Standing out in the hall way, she looked around. "Anyone have a coat I can use?" She asked, hoping some one did have one.

Varnis got out of his shower, and noticed everyone was going out side. Getting dressed, he grabbed his coat, and ran out side as well. Standing at the exit of the school, he looked out, and watched the snow fall.

"No one can sleep with this racket!" Markis let out as he got out of his bed, and realized it was snowing. Smiling, he quickly grabbed his purple coat, knocking down his others, he walked out form his room, and headed outside.

"Yeah! Snowing!" he exclaimed, peeling himself from the window as well. "Dammit Ray, you fogged up the glass!" he said, noticing fog from both himself and Ray having their faces pressed up against it. He turned and went to his own closet, throwing on lots of cotton clothes and the one holey and saltwater-stained jacket he owned. "Yeah, me first!" he called, running out the door. He noticed Markis had left his room around the time Vanna had asked about a coat. "I'll get you one from my dear friend's room." Theron grinned, slipping into Markis's room.

Namen sat up suddenly. "Snow?" she asked, getting up with her blanket still wrapped around her. "Wow, it's been a while. I moved back here from staying with my aunt in the desert." She dropped her blanket and pulled on a random pair of trousers that her feet happened across, and slid her feet into her boots. "Let's go play! Everyone else is, right? I can hear them."

Garreth heard voices suddenly. After he finished dressing and slipping his boots on, he headed downstairs and peered into the courtyard. "I've never seen so many of them awake this early so willingly..."

Echo laughed as she saw Varnis looking absently into space, and almost doubled over laughing when a snowball his him square in the jaw. The laugh turned into a surprised shriek as Diente turned into a wolf. She tackle-hugged him with the war cry of "Fluffy!" strong on her lips and voice.

Ishda continued to peg everyone as they came out of the school into the enclosed courtyard.

Tara laughed and fell to the ground as Damien pulled her tot eh ground. She scrawled away smiling." hey now i believe super natural strength is cheating " She said looking up into the sky with wonder as she saw the snow coming down.
