I really like Moroni's treatise on charity.
I also like section 88 of the Doctrine and Covenants, I happened to read it on a day when I was down and it really brought me peace, I can see why Joseph Smith called it the olive leaf.

good ones^^
once i opened up the scriptures randomly a read a scripture...it really made my feeling of being overwhelmed go away^^sadly i don't remember where it was it think it was in the new testament

Interesting, that's true. Reading the scriptures always has a calming effect.
On a side note, I think I found the shortest verse ever. 4 words in Alma 18, can't remember the verse number, but it's when Ammon is teaching Lamoni.

oh my fav. scripture mastery is st john 14:15
"if ye love me keep my commandments"
that is the easiest to pass off this year

Actually, the shortest verse in all of canonical scripture is in one of the four Gospels (can't remember which one: "Jesus wept."
Can I just say I love the entire Book of Mormon or would that be cheating?

sorry this has nothing to do with scriptures but.....
today i went to church like normal...but after sacrament meeting one of the bishop brick members told us that the rest of the meetings were canceled for the rest of the day because they wanted all priesthood members to go look for a missing kid in our ward...who went to walking his dog this morning....the parents thought he was taking to long so they looked for him and only found the dog...but they found him about an hour ago....20 miles away from home! so i really wonder what happened to him
