Birth
In order for people to be magical, they need to be born. Simple enough right? Well not necessarily. There is a difference between light births and dark births. First things first, there is rarely light and dark mingling. It simply rarely happens. Light magical parents have light magical babies and dark parents have dark babies. If both parents are magic, there is going to be a magical offspring. There are no flukes. You can’t have non- magic parents and be magical. That’s hitting genetics in the face. There is however, non-magic and magic mingling. These half-breeds are not nearly as powerful as a magic person. Now that that is clear, down to business.

Light Magic Birth.
This is a very clean procedure. Instead of taking the normal 9 months, it takes around 6 to 7. The magic speeds up the development of the fetus. Instead of the mother going through terrible pains, the baby ‘poofs’ out. Usually the child poofs into the room, but there have been very rare cases where the baby teleports itself too far off locations. It is painless and efficient.

Dark Magic Birth
It is almost the same, but there isn’t as much of a survival rate. The poofing works just the same, but a lot of times, well not a lot, but sometimes the baby will not poof correctly and die. This could be why there are less dark magic people than light, though there are other circumstances that go with it.

Middle Magic

This is usually done scientifically. Though light and dark magical people can mingle, their personalities and magics are too different for them to get along-- usually. Middle magic children do exist, but only very, very rarely.

Death
Troubled gets to do 'God's miracle' and I have to tell you how to steal it from people? This doesn't seem right, somehow...

Magical people are very different than humans, in many ways. Magic very often seems to have a bit of a mind of it's own, and in certain functions it can be involuntary. You don't tell your stomach to digest, and you don't need to tell your magic to, for example, destroy that disease, or stop the car coming towards me, or get me out of here. Once a person panic, their magic goes on it's own to keep the person surviving-- this is more effective depending on how strong you are magically. Ever heard Darwin's theory?
How Dark Magic People Don't Die
Dark magic people have adapted more to attacking in order to escape dangerous situations, that or poofing away. Their magic is more agressive that way, which also makes it more adept at fighting diseases. For example, if a Dark Magic person was about to get into a car accident, chances are the other car would explode/disappear/disintegrate. If they were falling off a cliff, they'd suddenly teleport and be gone. Where they went to would be uncontrollable, but usually it is somewhere the person has fond memories of or finds 'safe'.

How Light Magic People Don't Die
Light magic people are a little bit different. The Light Magical have adapted to work as a pack, to keep everyone in it from getting harmed and to constantly be on the defensive. If a Light Magical person was to get into a car accident, the most likely situation is that both cars would stop short and either disappear or be brought to float in the air above the others, thereby stopping anymore possible accidents between good people. If a Light magical person was hurt, they have extremely good healing/regeneration power, that will usually fix them up very quickly so long as they aren't repeatedly hurt and the magic gets worn out.

To Kill A Magical Person
Here we have some options. Magical people cannot be killed by human methods; aka a stabbing or a bullet to the head. Even in Dark Magical people, those kinds of wounds heal very quick and you will soon see the end of your knife disintegrating and your bullet being pushed out. So how, then, can you murder them? The easiest way is to get their magic first.

Magic is like anything else; it doesn't last forever. Rather, compare it to a rechargeable battery. Like needing to eat and drink to keep your body going, sleep is used not just for physical energy but so that magic has a chance to stop and restore itself. In that case, we have a few good ways to murder that annoying Lightie/Darkie that's been getting on your nerves.

The Light Magical are developing a very top secrety, very dangerous way to get rid of a person's magic-- they are planning to use it on Brian, of course. Their current prototype can only, however, put it out of use for 3 days in the most light person to a month in a negative darkie. If you stop someone's magic before attacking them with a human method, they can be killed. Unfortunetely, it isn't yet known what this will do if exposed to more than just one person, and the Light magical don't want to make a mistake, so we doubt you'll be able to use that method anytime soon-- OR WILL YOU? David is the only person who is allowed to use this on anyone in the rp, by the way.

Instead, how about exaughsting someone's magic? If you attack a person in the human way; knife or gun, but repeatedly for at least two minutes nonstop, you can kill them. Why? Because magic goes on overload. If you give them more injuries than their magic can handle and then give the final blow that way, it will be to a very weak, rather defenseless person, because their magic is busy and won't let them get away or fight back. This is probably the dirtiest way of killing someone, but Darkies really like it...

One thing that magical people can't do is regenerate organs. A hand, a foot? Okay. A Heart, a Brain? Not so much. Removing a magical person's heart, stomach, brain, ect. results in immediate death, so long as none of it remains. Brian's signature method of murder, as you may already know, is to remove the heart of the victim. To do this, he teleports 'with' the heart of another, forcing it to poof out of the person's body and somewhere else-- anywhere from a few inches from them to millions of miles. Of course, Brian tends to just teleport back and forth, a bit like Alessia's method but with a smaller area of space so that he almost looks as though he's vibrating, and can do this to up to twenty soldiers at once. The trick to this is that it is physically impossible to prevent, as it is nearly impossible to predict where he's going.

Look How Much That Guy's Eating... The Need To Know Health Wise

So you know how there’s that food pyramid, well people are supposed to follow that. In the coincidence of magical people, they must abide by their own food pyramids. Every type of magic needs nourishment and a lot of it. A little 7 year old girl will eat what a normal non-magical 40 year old man would. Magical people need to eat. If they don’t they will become very week. They are to eat the normal three times a day and depending on how much magic they use, a certain quantity.

The Dark
Well ever wonder why dark magic people are so aggressive? It is believed that they have a very common ancestor with the lights. At a time, they branched off and became their own magic. They are better fueled by meats and animal products. For instance, a dark magic person would get more nutrition from eating steak instead of pasta. When they get this nutrition, it allows their magic to boost back up faster and stronger. It is a theory that the dark magical are based more on attacking due to the fact that they were always hunting. Magic evolves very quickly so it is no hassle to believe this is the truth. After all, they are killing for food, why not have the magic adapt to fit their needs?

The Light
Unlike the dark, the lights are more nourished by plants and grains. A chicken will give them energy sure, but it’s that yummy pasta and citrusy flavor that makes them strong. They were the people that grew food, and farmed the land. Their magic was based on defense do to attacks animals made on them. The light magical eat just as much as the dark, which is once again, A LOT.

It might sound like they only eat healthy foods, but rest assured, junk food is very yummy. The magical people might like the taste of health food more than non-magical people do, but they still enjoy ice cream and cookies. (For instance, Rigel’s favorite food is ice cream and Brian goes nuts for cowboy cookies) You might also be saying, “We get it but how much exactly do they eat?” Breakfast will be pancakes and sausage and bacon and waffles and eggs, the list just goes on. Usually if a magical person does not eat they can’t focus. Everybody eats this much, but there are some weird exceptions, though cases like them are very rare. (Rigel has been said to eat only an apple for breakfast when he’s not fighting or in war)

Sleep
Magical people sleep a lot. They sleep more than normal people do. Usually a magical person will have an early bedtime and will stick to it. It depends really on the person, but if they want to be at their best, sleeping is the key. The reason for this is magic is absolutely exhausting. It needs time to rejuvenate and sleep does just that. This has been mentioned above as well.

Basic Types Of Magic

This is where we take light and dark and get a tiny bit more specific, though this is still just the basics. Within magic there are many, many types that are too complicated to explain and are not of important knowledge yet. What you need to know is this. There are 4 types of magic.

Light positive
This is the kind of magic that is sunshine and rainbows. It’s nicey nice and other magical people usually reflect this type of magic if not always. They are exceptional at healing. A light positive person will not be very good at attacks, but they are also very capable of attacking if necessary. Light magic people are the kinds of people you call sweethearts. They won’t go out for revenge and are keener on pleasing others. Their magic has its strengths in healing and making others feel certain ways-- When I say this, it doesn't mean you're Jasper and can completely manipulate people's emotions, but rather that your magic is more based around mental attacks rather than physical violence. They are also awfully good at doing everyday tasks and, as stated before, they are full of sparkles and daises.

Light negative
These light negative people are light magic while being ‘edgy’ in a sense. Their attacks are rather good, and their defense is amazing. They are the fighters the light army so yearns for. They are more equaled out in terms of happiness and anger-- When you are a Light negative, magic does not control your temperment and ethics nearly as much. Light negatives can be very good fighters (With training) and they do heal very fast, though not as well as, say, a light positive person. An example of a light negative person is David.

Dark positive
This is the dark equivalent to the Light negative. They are much more evened out than their dark negative counterparts but still have that ferocity to them. They will seek out revenges and have powerful attack capabilities. They can defend and are amazing fighters. They aren’t quite as rambunctious as the dark negative, but they are still as we say “Dark Magical”.

Dark negative
Do not mess. These are the people who are violent and by far the most vicious. They aren’t killers, not by any means but they will seek revenges and do not take kindly to offensive things. Their attack is unmatched but their defense is lacking. Now, they aren’t emo or punk or anything, but they have more of an edgy personality. The dark negatives are supposedly the people you talk to if somebody needs to get jumped. They do have nice moments and aren’t necessarily cruel, a person’s personality is really what makes a being do what they do. They still heal quickly, but out of all the types of magic their healing is the worst. It will take a light magic person to heal a stab wound in a minute; it will take a dark magic person a day or more.

I Hear That Girl Beat Up A Football Player
Though magical people aren't particularly strong or fast by nature, adjustments to strength, speed, and senses such as eyesight or smell can be made easily by magic. This can be done consciously in order to give oneself strength/speed/ext. for a given period of time, but also unconsciously. Whether you're being attacked by a murderer or playing around with tackling in gym, magic will automatically supplement your strength, speed, or anything else you may need in that instant. As soon as magic senses the 'danger' gone, it will die back down, and this kind of 'magical adrenaline' can last from ten seconds to ten minutes, depending on how strong/fast magic made you.

The Down Side
If a magical person keeps their strength, speed, or any sense up for too long by magical means, their magic will be weakened sufficiently by the end. These physical methods are not used in war for that exact reason; an elite would be strong enough to take down a hundred in the short span of time, but afterwards he would be a sitting duck.
On the subject of murdering with non-magical methods, if you have recently used this sort of sense buildup, it will be much easier to kill you.

Didn't You Have A Broken Arm Two Minutes Ago?
Healing. Healing is possibly the most amazing part of being magical; the fact that to some degree, you will not have to stay out of the action for long for an injury. Though healing differs between magics, let's just get the basics first.
1. When a magical person is healing, they're healing. Depending on the size of the wound and the type of magic they are, a majority to a little bit of their magic will be taken up with it, working around the wound.
2. Magical healing is very discreet, so sneaking up on someone 'because they were healing' is almost impossible, unless they have a hole gauged out of their chest or a bullet through their head, something obvious.

Dark Negative Healing
Dark Negative people are the weakest to healing. What you need to know is that in order for them to be 'down' (Figuratively, please don't make your character randomly kneel, there is no need and we aren't in some obnoxious middle ages RPG) while healing, they need a wound that is, at the least, a shattered leg. You know, like if you break your leg from falling off a tall tree or a balcony and the bone goes to pieces. It will take an average person 3-10 hours to fully recover from that. Someone like an heir or Rigel, whose magic is in the 80-90s range, will have that time cut down to 1-4 hours.
If their magic is taken by the Lighties' chemical prototype, they will be out of magic for FOUR TO FIVE WEEKS. Because this is an rp, we will probably speed things up with a timeskip for you, though, because it's annoying to spend more than two-three days describing that experience.

Dark Positive Healing
You're a little bit better, but don't get excited; it's still not that much. Dark positive people are 'down' by at least a shattered leg and a broken arm. This will take the same 3-10 hours to fully recover in an average person, but someone like an heir with magic in the 80s-90s range will take only 1-4 hours.
If their magic is taken by the Lighties' chemical prototype, they will be out of magic for THREE TO FOUR WEEKS. Once again, of course we will speed the experience up for you.

Middle Magical Healing
Middle magical healing is the middle ground between ridiculously fast and dreadfully slow. If a middle magic person shatters their leg, it will take an hour to two hours to heal. If a middle magic person shatters their leg and breaks their arm, it will take 3-4 hours to heal. Finally, for a middle magic person to be 'down', they must have at least injuries to a major organ. This kind of damage is obviously more difficult to repair, and will have them down for 3-10 hours. In someone with a magic range from 95-100 like Alessia, however, this can be repaired in 1-3 hours, and the other two examples in ten to thirty minutes and one to two hours respectively.
If their magic is taken by the Lighties' chemical prototype, they will be out of magic for ONE TO TWO WEEKS. I must also remind you that this CANNOT be sped up by magic, for the obvious reasons...

Light Negative Healing
A Light negative person has healing that is almost the best, but second best of course. For a shattered leg, at the most an hour and a half. For that and a broken arm, it will take at the most two and a half hours. Injuries to one major organ will take 5 hours at most, but to put them 'down', they must have at least an injury sustained to the heart or any digestive organs. They will be down 3-10 hours from this.
I think there is no way of putting their loss of magic other than to say that they are never in danger of losing it. Because of this, I won't even bother.

Light Positive Healing
Congratulations, you might not be able to attack for s**t but at least you can heal a major heart injury in 3-10 hours without dieing. A shattered leg is nothing but a minor nusience to these people, healing in a half an hour max. That and a broken arm take a mere hour, and of course their magic would never be taken away by the chemical because they are light magical and 'good' citizens.

Kindergartener? Isn't he 16?
You may have been wondering why we were calling Rigel a kindergartener in his profile, and what exactly that means.
Before a magical person goes to their first year of school, their magic is literally out of control. If they want a cookie, it will poof right out of someone's hands, if they get angry with someone they're liable to get hurt (Well, depending on the magic type of course). A kindergartener was never properly trained, or trained at all in Rigel's case, and so their magic is crazy. They don't have the kind of structure in their thoughts when it comes to magic, making it incredibly difficult to learn things that seem rather simple for anyone else (making a pencil write by itself, for example).
The Up Side? Rigel can do things like walk on walls... By thinking "I wanna be like Spiderman." This kind of task is incredibly difficult for taught magical people, but then agan, Rigel wouldn't be able to kill someone by taking out their heart. They just explode. Everything that he does is basically messy, because it's all a jumble of wants and needs and wishes, rather than the structure and training that other people use.

So A Dog Isn't Magic's Best Friend?

Oh the joys of pets. Those cuddly buddies that lick your face and leave you a present in your shoe simply loathe the magical citizens of the earth. The reason is animals are threatened by the magic people. Animals rely solely on their instincts and their instincts scream get away when faced with magic. It is dangerous and the animals know it. Magic people aren’t very fond of animals either. Sure some people have pets, but it’s not a very common occurrance, especially because said pet will hate the master…well in most cases.

Now you might be thinking, uh Troubled, if that’s true, why the hell does Rigel have a dog? Elementary my fellow rpers, Jack and Rigel are a special case. There are other cases like theirs and if you feel your person needs a pet, here’s something to help you understand a relationship that would work.

Rigel was relatively alone his whole life. He didn’t really have a guardian per se. When he was walking down the street, he saw the black puppy looking for scraps in the trash can. Something struck Rigel that very moment and he felt he needed to help that dog. In the beginning it was rough. Jack pretty much attacked Rigel who fled and ran home. After dwelling on it though, Rigel started to relate with the stray. They were in the same situation weren’t they? So after a day, he brought the dog food, started leaving it in the alley. Weeks later, Jack started to warm up, clearly this boy wasn’t trying to hurt him, only help him. Eventually he went inside Rigel’s house and a “friendship” arose. It was never easy, but after a long time, it was “love". Jack the stray abandoned dog was the same as the lonesome orphaned Rigel, in almost every way.
