Role play name: Sarina Blaize
Age: 17
Race and type: Human/Vampire
Orientation: Straight

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 130 lbs

History: Sarina is the youngest member of her family. Her mother is a human and her father a vampire.

Her mother and father met when they attended the school, and married not long after graduation.

Sarina's a bit of a late bloomer; her vampiric half hasn't shown itself just yet, and her parents are beginning to wonder if it ever will. In the meantime, they've sent her to the school in hopes that she'll make friends and learn what other vampires and halfbreeds are like.

Sarina herself doesn't want to be a vampire and has no friends, other than her older sister.

Personality: Shy, quiet, kind, very artistic, she usually keeps to herself in a corner unless her sister says otherwise

Role play name: Akane Blaize
Age: 18
Race and type: Vampire
Orientation: Straight

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 136 lbs

History: Akane's parents aren't quite sure how she ended up being a full vampire when her sister after her is only half vampire.

Akane is Sarina's older sister. She's well versed in sword fighting and makes friends very easilly. Akane started attending the school the year before and caused a lot of trouble starting out. If she wasn't starting fires she was fighting with random students.

After a harsh talking to from her father, who came to the school himself to scold her, Akane behaved (for the most part) from that point on. She still likes to cause trouble, but now that her sister is attending the school, she intends to help her through her first year at the school.

Personality: Out-going, firey temper, loves to spar in her free time, tends to be loud, likes to tease her little sister

~End of the school day~

"WOO! What a day!" Akane said with a smile as she shut the door behind her. She ran over and flipped onto her bed, laughing to herself. "Close Combat is going to be WAY better this year. I can't wait to go back again tomorrow!" Akane quieted down when the door opened again, revealing her little sister. "Sarina!"

"Oh god.." Sarina muttered, preparing to run back out into the hall.

Akane leaped off the bed and swept her little sister up in a big hug. "Hey, little sis! How was your first day? I bet it was awesome!" She grinned as she set her sister down on the floor, kicking the door shut behind her.

"It was really quiet, actually," Sarina answered, "I half expected there to be some chatting like at my old school." Sarina reached into her bag and took out two sheets of paper. "I drew these today in some of my classes. I had a lot of time left when I finished the work for each class."

Akane took them with a puzzled look. Her face brightened when she saw they were sketches of herself in Close Combat class. A couple of them were of her and Etylocla in the middle of sparring. "This is AWESOME!"

Sarina laughed.

"And you drew these in your classes?" Akane questioned, flipping threw the sketches. "Little sis, I think you have a psychic element in that little brain of yours."

"Hey!" Sarina said, taking offense to the statement.

"I didn't mean it as an insult!" Akane laughed. "I know him. He's in my Close Combat class. We sparred twice today and chatted for a while in the courtyard." While she continued looking at the sketches, she made her way back to her bed and sat on the edge.

Sarina studied her sister's expression while she set her bag by the door. "Oh really? Hm..."

"Yeah," Akane answered with a smile, "You should meet him. He's really nice and a great fighter at that."

Sarina smirked. "Ya know, sis, it sounds like you actually admire him a little. And I don't mean as a friend or sparring partner..."

Akane blushed slightly. "I don't know what you're talking about." she huffed, "He's just a really good friend, and the first one in a while for me. And anyways, haven't you made any yet?"

Sarina sighed. "No, not yet. I kind of walked into the end of an argument between some students and a teacher today, and no one talked to me." Sarina joined her sister on the edge of her bed. "I'm not surprised, though. It's just like my old school."

"Well it's only been a day. Maybe you'll make friends with someone in one of your classes tomorrow." Akane wrapped an arm around her little sister's shoulders. "And if someone picks on you, let me know and I'll go bash their head in for ya." Akane grinned, giving Sarina a quick hug.

Sarina laughed. "Thanks, sis."

"Hey, how about you play your d-flute for me. I'll grab my viola." Akane suggested.

"Sure." Sarina smiled and hopped off the bed to grab her dryad flute from her bag.

Akane strolled over to the closet and took her viola out of its case. When she was sure it was tuned, she returned to the edge of her bed where Sarina joined her, flute in hand. She started playing a slow, smooth tune that seems to hover in the air.

Sarina listened for a minute, enjoying her sister's playing. It had been almost a year since she'd heard her play and she smiled every time. After a moment, Sarina started playing a cheerful melody to compliment her sister's viola.

Akane played a moment longer before slowing it down enough to stop. "Um...listen, Sarina, I know this a little sudden, but...will you be alright on your own tonight?" she asked hesitantly.

Sarina put her flute down and turned to her sister. "Going on a date with your crush?" she grinned.

"Uh-...well, yeah." Akane blushed slightly.

Sarina giggled and gave her sister a hug. "I'll be fine. You go enjoy your date."

"Thanks, li'l sis." Akane smiled and hugged her back before hopping off the bed with a big grin on her face. "Keep the door locked while I'm gone, ok?"

"Ok. Have fun!"

"I'll see ya later!" Akane smiled and rushed out the door.

Sarina had finished her homework before leaving the classrooms, and was currently at a lack of better things to do. She practiced her flute for a while, occassionally trying to make up a tune of her own. After an hour or two had passed, she decided to turn in for the night.

Akane ran into the room, closing the door quietly behind her when she noticed the lights were out. She snuck her way into the closet and sunk down to the floor. Her heart was still fluttering wildly in her chest. She wondered how tomorrow would go and stared up at the ceiling.

Akane woke more cheerful than ever the next morning. She couldn't wait to get to class, for once, and wasted no time in waking Sarina, who groggily went about the usual morning routine. Once her little sister was ready, Akane grabbed her hand with a smile and they both darted out the door for school.
