From my point of view, I doubt Zetsu will fight unless ordered to, he is the messenger, evidence disposer, and spy. Agreed, that he would be extremely powerful due to his natural form, he can most likely manipulate natural chakra, and with his ability to blend in with the surroundings, can easily stand still long enough to do so.

My guess is that Rock Lee will survive to take the place of Gai sensei when he passes away. He will probably become stronger than Gai, etc., etc. In Naruto, the students generally live long enough to surpass their masters.

All based upon your interpretation of best. Every village has special shinobi, each best at what they due. Also, it boils down to opinion, while I personally believe that Konoha is one of the best, it's generally because my favorite characters live or have lived there.

Gaara of the sand is the 5th Kazekage of Sunagakure. Originally an evil character, he has become one of Konoha's greatest allies and one of Naruto's best friends. He can manipulate sand with his chakra, and originally house the one tailed biju.
