Sezer and Vlaityn only, please. That is, I, Ikamaru, and Blue Logic, Vlaityn, are the only ones who can post here. Thank you very much for respecting. >BD

"Mmmm." More of a contented hum than a reply, Vlaityn leaned back slightly, taking in all the colors. She couldn't remember the last time she'd had such a permanent smile plastered across her face. It was so uncharacteristic of her.
'Screw the norm.' A voice from the back of her head roared, allowing no possible way to distract from the utter joy radiating from her.
But Sezer was different from most people. In a good way, a very good way, but still different. Vlaityn would like to think she knew him well, but she all the years didn't mean she could read him perfectly. "Are you, Sezer?" She murmured wonderingly.

Sezer nodded serenely, his face content-looking. He, thoroughly conscious of this fact, wondered when the world had last seemed so peaceful to him. Besides when he was dancing with Vlaityn in the Great Hall, he meant.
To her question, he slighlty raised a brow, confused. He wondered why she would ask such a thing. He, himself, found it fairly obvious. 'Though,' he tried to reason with himself, against himself, on his girlfriend's behalf, 'it's not as if she can read minds. If she could, she'd surely have found me absolutely loony.' He let out a little breath, realizing that he should probably answer.
"Of course I'm happy. How could I not be?"

Vlaityn tilted her head to the side and started talking, which she almost instantly regretted, seeing that she couldn't fully answer his question. "You know, I just thought that maybe..." She shut her mouth, at a loss for words.
If there was one thing to be said, it was Vlaityn was not her biggest fan. And a large part of her was self conscious. As far as she was concerned, she didn't deserve to be having a nice time with Sezer. The thought flashed across her head that maybe she was happy, and he was tolerating the w hole ordeal. He could have far better girls attached to his arm, yet here she was. Being given a gift that Vlaityn felt she didn't deserve.
"Just wanted to make sure." Vlaityn trailed off slowly.

Sezer scrutinized her face carefully, looking for something wrong with her. The slightest indent in her brow, the darkest speck of disdain or sadness in here eyes - anything. Or maybe he just wanted to have an excuse to stare at her. Either way, he didn't find anything.
Resuming his early movements with his finger, now his fingers, on her knuckles, as he thought them to be at least a little soothing, he looked at her, his gaze still as intense, and yet somehow considerably softer.
"I was right before, wasn't I. Or, at least, now I'm right." These weren't questions, he stated them as facts; they were what he believed to be the truth. He thought he'd done something, quite frankly. But worst of all was the fact that he couldn't figure out what was bothering her. He hated not being able to figure things out, be they people or be they text. A problem he was rarely presented with.
So, he was getting rather frustrated with himself.
"You did not believe me?" He questioned, though he regretted the words. "I didn't mean that." He held his free hand to his temple, massaging. He took it off and attempted to explain. "Okay, scratch that. What's the matter, Vlaityn? Of course, I completely understand if you don't want to. Completely." He assured her yet again, squeezing her shoulder.

Vlaityn could only stare at him with a mixture of pain and confusion. She had no idea how to explain it. But she was bothering Sezer by not trying to explain. So Vlaityn took a deep breath and decided to give it a try.
"You know I idolized you and Joel when we were young. Especially you. And obviously my opinion of you has only increased." Vlaityn turned her head away slightly and bit her bottom lip. "My opinion of myself is...not so high." She would have said 'low', but that might not have been the best choice of words for Sezer to hear.
"I feel like I'm bringing you down." She answered meekly.

Sezer was thoroughly panicking by now. And why, he didn't know. Especially now, when Vlaityn needed him. He was beginning to become disgusted with himself. But that didn't matter a lick right now, she needed him.
He nodded through it all, quite serious and intent, listening attentively and yet searching for something he could say that would make her feel better.
"You're not." He told her. He wished he could tell that she could never do that, but he knew that was a lie. Still unable to think of something to make her feel better, he did the only thing he could think of. He gathered her in his arms and pulled her tight against his chest.
"I'm sorry." He said after a moment, his voice quiet, and yet loud in the absolute, slightly unnatural stillness. "I don't know what to say."

'He's sorry? What? Why? Did I make him feel bad?'
"What? No, don't apologize. It's not, you know, it's me, I just..." Vlaityn had fully intended to redeem herself and self respect before Sezer suddenly engulfed her into a giant, tight hug. She could only melt; it was so safe.
Vlaityn buried her face into Sezer's chest. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to," Vlaityn sighed slightly. "Suck the happiness away."

Sezer, still holding her tight to him, ignored the butterflies in his stomach; they would just have to take a number. "I feel I must," he told her honestly. "I can't make you feel better. I don't know how. Though I wish I could." He added as an afterthought, his tone thoughtful, and yet serious at the same time.
His shoulders stiffened. The sharpness with which he next spoke was not intended. "Don't you ever think that." He relaxed slightly, unwilling to lose his temper. "You never do." He let silence fill the air, all the while holding her to him, still just as tightly, as if he felt that by some obscure lack of reason, or maybe it was because he didn't know what else to do, that if he held her tight enough, long enough, that he could make everything go away.
"Don't you ever think that." He repeated, his voice much softer and more deliberate.

"Don't say that." Vlaityn objected from somewhere in the embrace. "I might mess up and make myself miserable, but you only ever make me happier."
Mulling over Sezer's command, Vlaityn thought it might be better just just crawl into the hug more and never pop her head out again. Yes, that sounded like an excellent plan. But maybe that was cowardly. And this was Sezer, and he made Vlaityn feel alive, so he deserved more.
Pulling herself away from Sezer, Vlaityn looked up at him with as much dignity as she could muster up. "I'll try not to anymore. I promise."

Sezer frowned, his brow furrowing. It was almost as if they were having some sort of contest to see who hated the other's own person worse. And, frankly, he thought the whole idea ridiculous.
He looked into her stunning, ice-blue eyes as she spoke; he saw the intense sadness their depths, and suddenly he was overcome with the very powerful urge to make it all go away. To make it all better. After all, if he had truly just been making her happier, he had a reputation to uphold, didn't he?
He smiled in what he sincerely hoped was a reassuring manner. "There, now," he kissed her forehead, "That's better. I'll even promise, too. I promise not to be so angry with myself." He was still smiling, despite the near opposite tone of his words, "As long as you keep your promise, I'll keep mine."

All the things she wanted to say, starting with admonishing him for ever being angry with himself, telling him he was perfect, wrapping her arms around him. Well, ok, so the last wasn't talking. But still, Vlaityn wanted to do that as well.
Vlaityn pulled back slightly, blinking at him, almost as if somewhat stunned. "Yes." She nodded slowly, as if agreeing again. She suddenly smiled softly and put a hand up to the side of Sezer's face, just barely touching him. "It's a deal."

Sezer stood frozen for the briefest of moment, taking in the scene. It was very intimate. Very much so. Not that he especially minded. In actuality, while most young boys his age seemed to shy away from such intense relationships, he found they were very inviting. At least, in his experience. Which, well, this was his first relationship.
He had an impulse to put his hand over her own, however, he suddenly found that he was quite frozen. And he did mean that quite literally, because just then, a pile of snow from the tree above them fell on their heads.

Normally, Vlaityn would have been slightly irked to have her physical contact with Sezer cut off so abrubtly. But it was snow, and dear Lord how Vlaityn loved the snow. And luckily, it was a dry, powdery snow as well.
Her vibrant eyes shining with delight, Vlaityn could have giggled at the whole ordeal as she shook the snow off of her dark chocolate hair and her shoulders, all previous woes forgotten for the moment.
As she turned to Sezer, an amused chuckle emerged. He was comical looking. Like a Sezer-cicle.

Sezer blinked in the aftermath, rubbing the snow off of his shoulders, and, taking the fabric of his coat, he coaxed the snow-induced moisture off his glasses. Again, and again, and again until he felt they were quite spotless. So, placing them on his nose, crookedly, he shrugged the snow off as best he could, ran his hands up and down her arms, attempting to get all the snow off. Oh, yes, he was working at his task quite diligently.
When he was finished, however, he merely looked at her for a moment before, in a moment of sheer boldness, or sheer stupidity, perhaps both, he held his arms out for her, almost as if he were going to hug her, though he made no move to advance toward her.
"I do believe we were interrupted."
