So, here's the deal, a new semester just started and I have New classes. Trigonometry is one of them. In my opinion I'm at like a fith grade math level and I have no clue what I'm in that class for. What I need you to do is help me atleast pass the class. I'm very willing to work my butt off if thats what it takes.
We've only had two days in the class so far and I think this stuff that Mr. Teacher is starting us out with is just a review. Stuff that I should already know. Stuff thats not yet really trig? But, of course, I have no clue what the hell is coming out of his mouth when he's trying to teach it to us.

Here's some problems from my home work that I SHOULD know how to do, I guess.. =/

71(degrees)18'-47(degrees)29'

I wasn't sure if when I subtracted those two I had to do someting to that it didn't come out negative.

180(degrees)-119(degrees)26'

I think 71°-47° can't come out negative. The trick is with the 18' and 29'. Each degree is divided into 60', so subtraction is not the same as with decimal points, it's more like if you were calculating time in hours and minutes and had to subtract 47 hours and 29 minutes from 71 hour and 18 minutes. I hope that makes some sense. I think what you have to do is take 1° from the 71° and turn it into 60'. So now you would have 70°78'-47°29'. (It's probably not a correct form of notation, I'm just trying to explain it this way.) It makes 23°49'.

That 180°-119°26' is the next problem? Or your interpretation of the first?
