Altar of Memories Somewhere in the destruction of Kioku, a secret grotto exists, hidden from the deathly gaze of the town. Possibly because it was hidden it has managed to escape the annihilation of the town, even after all this time. The centerpiece of this secret place is a small shrine with a stone altar. This altar is completely covered in etchings, from hearts filled with names to short messages asking for forgiveness or a good season. Mementos are still left on this stone slab, showing their age, but offering a little insight into what the people held dear. Could it be possible that this place contains the memories of those killed when Kioku fell? One way or another, it seems that it's safe here... for now.

So apparently I qualify for a regents scholarship as a first generation college student.
Thing is, the only requirement is that neither of your parents have bachelor's degrees, which I suppose is a good thing because my mother has an associates but that's not high enough to disqualify me. But still, if the requirement is being a first generation college student, why do only parents count? Why not grandparents?
So yeah, that's my rant for today (as well as a way to get this thread moving seeing as it's gone several months without actually being used).

It's good to see you again, Shard. Things have been rather boring around here, before tonight.
So, I've been reading the Archives, and I think it would be fun to bring back the coliseum. So, I'm going to register. Hopefully a fight will start soon!

Sounds fun!
Maybe you should make it a bit more open this time... I mean, like no rules or anything. Not rules as in 'no godmodding' or something, more in the RP, like if two characters agree to not get too messed up, or use certain weapons, things like that.
Iunno, just an idea. xP

Eh, I'm not gonna decide the order of fights this time (that broke down pretty rapidly). Besides that, the rules were all there for important reasons. Most of them weren't even rules.
If your referring to the in character part, I'm keeping that. It's part of the thing. If you mean something else entirely, clairify, please.

Hm... I'll try to put it another way. I sorta suck at explaining things sometimes... //_x
Still have all the normal OOC rules, such as "No godmodeing, etc."
But have no machines or anything IC, so the characters themselves would decide what conditions their fight would have. Whether it be completely brutal and gory like the one Nex and Yukia (sp?) had, or just a fist-fight. Instead of machines, they would fight and stay by the agreed conditions with only their honor and public view on the line, via spectators.

Ah, that makes sense. The only things the machines did before is keep track of who was fighting who. If you decided to just have a fist fight, that was your own business. Like I said, I'm not gonna do that anymore. Whoever decides to fight will.

Yeah, a less strict colliseum might help, but getting more people to realize this subforum EXISTS might help more.
But, more importantly, we have a new member! ^_^
Lieutenant-Momo, so be nice to her and don't scare her off! (well, anymore than you have to)

I thought scaring off new members was my job as vice-captain. Besides look at my sig. *points* Perfectly suited for the job.
Anyhow, why hasn't anyone else joined? Does noone else want to fight?

I gotta say one of the most annoying things was how Bella and Edward kept thinking they were 'different'... Man this generation is so ********...
