:3 Does anybody have any image of Buddha(s) which they like to share? Things they've made or found online. Personally I love art of Buddha and it gives me that happy feeling when I see it. It also makes me happy when I see artist express their love and draw/paint buddha. I myself draw Buddha now and then, it makes me feel nice. 4laugh Also, it's fun to find new picture to use in sigs and other websites. I'm more into recent art, not the ones from old asia that we know of already. I start with the few I've found (I have them on my myspace page)... (I might have gotten a few from this guild O_o): Elvira Amrhein FGART Spirtmama And monks (okay this isn't really Buddha... but is still great) ...

That last picture of the cat is so adorable!!
I always have liked the images of Buddha laughing. It makes me feel happy and giggly too. I have a tiny (let me emphasize tiny) statue of a laughing Buddha, and every time I see it, I smile too. He just makes me feel so much better about life, like it's okay to laugh even when you're hurting.

There's always one of my favourite Buddhas - the one from the comic Sinfest. I don't read it anymore, but this strip is on my fridge... And these ones would be, if my printer were working.

Buddisum is such a beatiful religion, I twould so totally be one if I didn't like swat at flies and crap like that, I swat flies and I used to eat ,eat until my mom saw this video and it made her go veggitarian. So I don't eat meat at my house anymore, but buddisum is a good religion because it's not telling you that your a good or a bad person it's just telling a path in life that you can take, and who knows it might be for the better or worse..... P.S. the kitty pic. is sooooo cute...

There are natural remedies to insects you know. Also, Buddhism doesn't require you to make all these drastic changes all at once. You're free to do it at your own pace, as long you you strive and try to follow the Noble Eightfold Path

(There was a picture here, but it only seems to work on it's home page... hm...) 卍 The quieter you become, the more you can hear. This is from TvTropes' useful notes page on Buddhism. I like the green and gold color scheme. May you attain enlightenment. 卍

I do spray paintings with stencils, and I really want to do one of Buddha. I focus mainly on body modification in my pieces: tattoos, piercings, etc. Here's an example of one.
My debate is whether to do a traditional one or to put tattoos on him. Any thoughts?

sex.drugs.and.rock My debate is whether to do a traditional one or to put tattoos on him. Any thoughts? I've seen both done, though for the second one it's usually Hotei/Matreiya and not Gautama; It's really up to whether or not you think it's disrespectful to tattoo on him. I've got no problem with it, and certainly some other artists don't. biggrin

I don't believe it's disrespectful because tattoos are just decoration. I think I'll create the base stencil and then decide if I want to do some tattoos or not.
