The new game going to be released later this year, Halo 3: ODST. You play as a Spartan 3 who goes on stealth missions. Now mind you Master Chief was a Spartan 2, so now your armor is going to be lighter in this game and not as heavy as it was in Halo 1 to 3, maybe meaning duck and cover will be as important as it is in Gears of War. So Halo might have met Splinter Cell, going at things slowly and shooting will be a slightly new approach. All of this just a guess but will turn out to a very interesting game later, I can't wait to try it.

I really do hope they do go back to the duck and cover option like they had in Halo CE. You could go through entire levels without shooting a bullet. That was the s**t. 3nodding I got really tired how Halo turned into a open rapid fire mayhem s**t hole. gonk Bungie be redeeming themselves a bit here. :3

I have never seen Halo:CE played that way. Run and Gun is all I've seen/played.
Care to explain? <_<;

In Halo 1, your cover wasnt blown until a enemy saw you, you showed up on radar, or you shot a bullet. You could go through the entire level or at least levels in close quarters and just assassinate everyone. You had to do alot of crotch walking. It takes a while to do sometimes if you really try hard to be careful.

Its not a continuation of Master Chief's quest to save the Earth and such. Its more or less a add on to Halo 3. Like there was alot that happened in that game, why not look at it from the point of view of a ODST? Idk... its a thought.

It takes a while to do sometimes if you really try hard to be careful. Actually, both Halo: CE and Halo 2 were played that way, but Halo 2 had more enemies, so you were seen much easier. And even if, Halo is a Run and Gun type of game, so the designers put in ways you could be seen anyway(Unless you're a complete p***y and sneak through every level in ways the Covenant or Flood wouldn't see you).

And even if, Halo is a Run and Gun type of game, so the designers put in ways you could be seen anyway(Unless you're a complete p***y and sneak through every level in ways the Covenant or Flood wouldn't see you). H2 was set up in a more open quarters setting. So was H3. You couldnt really just sneak up on the enemy all that much. Maybe for a lucky kill or two, but nothing like H:CE. Halo as a whole isnt a run and gun thou. It can be played that way, or you can be a little more smarter to execute your kills. If the part of the game is too open thou, it cant be avoided. Sure, Halo isnt like Splinter Cell or Gears of War, but you can still play duck and cover tactics. If you dont on legendary, you're dead. So in the end, being the smart p***y could save your life. You should try to pay attention to radar more instead of running in like a immortal manic and shoot everything and expect to be awesome. Its just not going to happen unless you're playing on easy.

Weasel699 i hear this game should have been dlc for halo3 and is not worth the price It was supposed to be DLC, but the team at Bungie fleshed it out as much as possible in the year they had to work on it.
Also, the three hours I've already played in Campaign alone says this game is worth your 60 bucks. AND, for those lame-o's like me, who haven't picked up Halo 3 yet ( sweatdrop ), ODST comes with a multiplayer only Halo 3 disc. Features Forge, and everything in Halo 3, minus the campaign.
Money well spent, imo.
