So next week (Febuary cool I would like to start a new contest, but I don't know what kind of contest it should be. This is where I need your guy's help. I need to know what kind of contest we should do first. (: My goal is to have contests about once a month, that way you guys can score some free gold, and have fun at the same time.
So, vote in the poll on what kinda contest, OR give ideas. You could even give ideas for themes of what you wanna do (example: Avatar contest with a theme of winter, or a writing contest with a prompt we have to answer, or a poetry contest that has to be in a certain form.)
Anyways vote away, leave your ideas I'd love to hear it all. (:

I'm up for any kind of writing contest. However, I think that said contest should be judged by at least two criteria. Three if it's an essay contest. That's my two cents.

I think a themed avatar contest would be neat.
A writing contest is a bit iffy. We're all at different levels here. It seems a bit unfair. Instead of a contest, how about a place for us to post and have our writing or whatever art critiqued?

What do you mean? Poetry and short stories should be judged by grammar, spelling, punctuation and other elements of style. For instance, poetry should also be judged by meter and such. As well as that, they should also be judged by originality and content. Essays should be judged by those same criteria as well as the third: research and citation. Allowances should be made for "poetic license" and personal essays versus expository essays.
