Ms. Kia Imiochi scribbled something in sharpie onto an A5 piece of paper, then stuck it with tack onto the classroom sign. It read: "If you wanna come and play, I recommend wellies. Come on in! ~ Earth Control Sensei"
She grinned and, adjusting her two sizes too big wellies, she stepped back across the dusty, muddie ground to a flat rock, where she took off her wellies again and sat down cross-legged. She scribbled another sign saying "Please remove wellies before getting on rock - its the only mud free bit of the 'room' and I'd like to keep it that way! Thanks! ~ Sensei". She was one of those informal types of people.

Kia nodded, smiling brightly.
"Yeah, sure." she nodded her head at him. "Come and sit down." she motioned to the flat, bare expanse of rock, surrounded by muddy ground.
"You may get your feet dirty, so take your shoes off before getting on the rock." she smiled.
"Would you like some ginger tea? It's great in cool weather." She smiled, motioning to a traditional ceremonial tea-serving kit on a small flat rock next to her. She was dressed casually, a t-shirt over a pretty, full-skirted dress, and Converse, limited editions from some event or another. Her long brown hair was done up with pins, and she looked bright and fresh, ready to start teaching.
