Ever since the fiasco with the stockings, Iris had not been able to get over one little issue in his life currently. A particular little creature that other Herla were beginning to call Mion. Apparently they were attracted to shiny things or at least appeared to be pack rats of sorts. Hording all kinds of interesting trinkets in their lair. Ever since that event, Iris couldn't seem to shake one such Mion which he had come to call Rene. She peeped at him morning, noon and night but he just ignored her to the best of his ability. Besides what did he know about taking care of such a thing?
Making his way to Wildflower Meadows, Iris was content to frolic among the plain, smelling the flowers and playing with the pretty white butterflies (moths). Only this time Rene would follow... no matter how fast he had taken off into a run the little critter was fast enough to keep up. With a sigh he turned with a frown. "Please stop following me, can't you go back to your mommy?"
Rene peeped with a sad expression her ears flopping down against her head. Iris didn't understand this and only sighed as he sat, folding his legs under him. Poking his nose at the creature he sighed again. "I don't' know what you want." Rene peeped again laying her head on his nose almost as if she were tired or weak. "Are you hungry?" This got a reaction from the creature, she peeped a few more times jumping up and down. "Ah! Um.. what is it you eat?" Rene sighed, peeping in frustration at her supposed guardian.

Akasha had spent the morning admiring the many flowers in the Meadow, plucking one and sticking them in the ribbons of her saddle. She really did like the delicate, frangrent things. They were so soft and pretty. The black herla flicked her tail back and forth as she bent her head to the ground, taking a long sniff from a bush of particually bright daisies.
That was when she heard a very familiar voice. Her ears perked and she turned around, peeking out from behind a tree at her friend the Pearl. So he had one of those creatures too? Akasha smiled and timidly stepped torwards him as he asked the little creature what it was it ate. "H-Hello, Iris." She called plesantly, glancing towards the pretty thing. "Did y-you make a new f-friend?"

Iris jumped slightly his guard always down when alone but he collected himself quickly enough to smile up at Akasha. His blue eyes looked sad as he turned them on Rene. "She's hungry but I don't know what they eat." He pouted standing tall. He bent his head long enough for Rene to climb on his head and sit comfortably between his antlers.
"What are you doing out here?" He asked noting the flowers and then smiling with a sparkle. "Those are pretty... uh you look.. nice." He ventured to say blushing lightly as he looked away to hide this. "Akasha, do you know what Mion eat?"

"Hungry huh?" Akasha frowned, looking down to the cute creature that insisted on following Iris around before adding, "I was gathering flowers. They're really pretty and smell nice too." At his compliment however, she blushed. "T-Thank y-you, Iris. You're h-handsome too..." The shy herla glanced away, shuffling in place before she looked around, looking over the plants and such. "Well... j-judging by t-their teeth, I t-think M-Mions would like b-berries or maybe b-bugs."

Iris thought a moment. "Berries and bugs?" Rene seemed to like this idea as she sat up bouncing on his head for attention. "Is that what you eat? Berries and bugs is it... alright then." Smiling Iris gave Akasha a soft nuzzle of his nose against her shoulder pointing her in the direction he was headed. "We can find some nice berries in the forest and bugs are usually under rocks and in wet places." Rene bounced again eager to find some food. "I like berries too so we can all share..."

Akasha nodded, "O-Okay." She smiled, and headed after Iris. Once in the forest she set about to finding a berry bush. It didn't take long before she noticed a nice bush full of tasty looking red berries. "I-Iris I fo-found-" The herla cut of as a small red head poked out of the bush. The mion squeaked as she looked up at Akasha before she noticed Iris and with a cheerful squeak, darted over to the Pearl and climbed on his back to start playing with his hair.

Everything seemed to be going okay until Iris (in his mind) was attacked by yet another Mion. It seemed to be the running gag lately with his shiny form and a Mion's love for shiny things. No wonder he had not one but two Mion's clamoring around on his back.
Though upon closer inspection it was Rene who was squeaking loudly at the offending Mion. How dare she try to claim a ride on Iris' back. This was her one and only Herla no one could just climb on his back. Rene seemed to chase after the other Mion causing Iris to go paler then was normal for his already pale form. "Get'off get'off.... its attacking me. Akasha, it's going to eat me!"

The little red, female mion squeaked in fright and before Akasha could step foward to help Iris, jumped onto Akasha's back. Akasha frowned, jumping widely as she was leapt on to, but twisted her head around to peer at the little thing. "I-I d-don't think i-it was at-attacking you... I t-think it l-liked your h-hair."

Calming down Iris looked to Akasha with worry then to the Mion on his back and the other. His mind slowly began to focus on the actual events as he realized Rene was being quite testy. "Um.. Rene be nice..." he offered his natural instincts kicking for kindness. Even if he were being attacked or eaten alive; kindness seemed to be his motto.
Sheepishly he looked to Akasha blushing red in the face. "I think you were right, Akasha... um.. I'm sorry." He apologized to both the Mion and Akasha for his outburst but he couldn't have helped it otherwise.

Akasha smiled and shyly nudged Iris' shoulder. "I-It's okay. Y-You don't need to apologize to m-me." She insisted, her stutters resigning for the most part. "Y-You were just s-surprised."
The red female chirped at Iris to show that she was fine before she hugged the back of Akasha's neck and peered around at Rene.

With a smile Iris nuzzled Akasha softly and smiled to the Mion. "Friends?" He asked the other with a soft nudge of his snout against the fuzzy head. "Want to go swiming? It's a nice day."

"I-I can't." She said in disappointment, shuffling with shyness. "I mean... I n-need to get back h-home. But s-some o-other day, I w-would l-lo-love to." The time she spent with this buck in her company was ever so enjoyable. He was so sweet and kind. Iris was the kind of guy that she could see getting close to her heart, and it wouldn't even bother her. "T-thank you. I li-liked s-seeing you." She added before she carefully dipped her head and turned to flee for the tree line. This had been a wonderful morning.
