Well, the 'big day' is coming up for me.
And by big day I mean my 20th birthday, which is a huge deal for me because it's a milestone considering well. D: I'm not gonna be a teenager anymore.
Well, Every year, we'd go out for sushi, because it's the one time I'm able to get it, and this year my plans have been shot down because my stepfather will more than likely still be in the hospital. I could ask my uncle, but he works out on Bowman Field and doesn't get off work till 9pm that night.
So, I decided to just bite a bullet and go ask my mother if we could do something that day, even though it's on a Wednesday and she has to work, along with my sister (which I couldn't care less about)
She essentially told me no. Because 'we don't have the money', and even if we did, there isn't money to go towards my birthday.
You want to talk about a slap in the freaking face? She essentially blamed me for her financial troubles. emo So instead of going out for my birthday, I'm going to be sitting in my room sobbing because I got cheated out of having fun, even though if it were my sister's birthday we'd be going out regardless of 'not having money'.

My friends live 1800 miles away, unfortunately. and I live in the middle of nowhere in a community full of old farts.

My friends live 1800 miles away, unfortunately. and I live in the middle of nowhere in a community full of old farts. I say it's time to pull some pranks on the old farts. >> << >>

Basically the conversation was
"Mom, since Fred's in the hospital can we do something for my birthday?"
"I haven't the money!"
"Don't make it sound like I'm doing something bad by asking an honest question."
"I'm not! I have a 300 dollar power bill and since I'm the only one footing the bills there's no free money. This would have been easier if you had kept your job."
Which is funny, because when I had a job, I told her flat out I wasn't going to help her one bit. :/
