The fact that I know people my age can get tattoos (secretly or legally) intrigues me.

Best way is to get it legally - if you're under aged that means with parent consent. heart If they won't consent, best thing I can recommend is waiting. Waiting won't kill you, but, it'll probably keep you from making a mistake (like getting "I hate school" on your buttocks at the age of 12. LOL) <-- I don't speak from experience on that
My parents basically had to sign for a tattoo under their logic of "Well, we let your brother____ at the age of ___, so we should let you do the same."
My brother went to a rock concert at the age of 15, and got a tattoo at the age of 17. Thus, the same applied to me.

Ohh xD Well, I don't see any harm in waiting 'til you can get a tattoo legally... I've drawn on my leg since third grade, and admitted I wanted a tattoo since sixth. I waited until I was in 11th to get one finally. sweatdrop If I hadn't waited, I would have gotten a godawful crescent moon + star with wings, ribbons, and sparkles. (I shiver thinking about it)

I actually think it's a good idea to wait until you are 18....because if I hadn't (not like it would have....my parents would have never let me anyways) I would have got a tattoo I would have regretted having.
I used to want these tattoos of bands I used to like but now I don't really care about them anymore....so I would have those tattoos staring at me in the face and I'd be very dissapointed. So waiting till your 18 gives you a lot of time to think it over and pick something you truly like and will love to have on your body for the rest of your life.

yea im def not trying to be a buzzkill but I strongly agree with waiting til one is 18. i knew i wanted to get a tatto since i was 15. i waited til i was 18 and had the money to pay for it myself (large foot piece- was 215 after tax n tip).

Well I know of a girl who got a ful chest piece done before she was 18. And it wasn't becuase her parents took her it was ore like a crack deal they had worked out with the artist. Its looks great tough, badass piece shes almost 19 now aswell. Not to mention when I was in Highschool I pierced a coupe of my friends lips only becuase I was the only one with a stomach to push the saftey pins through theyr lips. haha good times.

Sayanee Technically [. . . ] I'm just asking for stories xD This same thing happened in a topic I started. And one of my friends just told me about a tattoo she got done by a friend a while ago, she just turned seventeen. It's of a star on her wrist. It was done illegally and with horrible equipment, but it turned out pretty.

I knew I wanted a tattoo since... Honestly I can't remember the age but it was when I was really little.
I got my first one(a fox) when I was 15 with my friend and her sister and her sister's friends. It's only small and I'm 17 and I still love it.
I got another at age 16 of stars on my neck. I went with my mom for this one. While I was getting inked she found a flower that she wanted and got it done.
My mom knew and let me get both of them. My only regret about getting my first tattoo is that the guy who did it(They weren't professionally done. They were done in a living room and kitchen) was a former drug addict. My friend got one done by him the year before and she didn't tell me until AFTER I got it done.
Both me and my sister(2 cool love tattoos and body mods. I have more piercings, she has more tattoos(and kids lol)
When I have kids I'll probably make them wait until their 16 to get a tattoo. NO NAMES! NO BAND THINGS! NOTHING STUPID! I'll probably make my future kids get everything done professionally.

I've heard of a girl who (somehow) got a tattoo done when she was 14, of her own name, on the back of her neck. The spaces between the lettering made it look like 'J ADE' as opposed to 'JADE'.
A reputable studio won't tattoo minors without consent, and most people tattooing illegally either can't tattoo legally or haven't bothered to find out how to tattoo legally. I wouldn't trust either group with art I wanted permanently.
