User Image ((Sorry to be a bother but the first post had to be really edited due to shop rules. I think it really takes away from the emotion of the scene but rules are rules. All that's missing is the mention of drinks and smoking))

In the clock tower high above town square pidge were crowding left and right. Within the sprockets, bolts, cogs, and gears of the golden rust-colored clock: music was echoing and snaps could be heard all in unison. A pidge by the name of Open Mike had come into town and started a jazz club. All the pidge who were into underground gossip were there.

Magic Shop heard the word on the street and couldn't help but come and see for herself. She came to play a few poker games, dance, sing, and just have some fun. She didn't usually sing but she knew it was part of the experience. So there she was hopping down at the bar soaking in the excitement.

User ImageHouse, her dear friend, was chilling with the band. He played a mean lick on a box with ruberbands on it in the shape of a human guitar.

Smooth-talking pidge lined the club. It was a scary place but one couldn't help but get swept away into the jazzy air. Before Magic knew it she was talking like she was in an old fashion detective novel: the ones where everyone speaks in the 3rd person and wear Fedoras.

McHugh's walked in to the bar and glanced around. He knew he shouldn't be here but hey, it would be worth it. The tables looked pretty full but he found an empty one in no time. It was a rather plain table made from what was a spool of string and had a large thimble glass on the top.

The band fired up thier big band charts and set the club on fire. The tunes soon had the whole place dancing and jiving, and everybody was having lots of tea. This was gonna be fun.

((Sorry my sister kicked me off earlyer. And I guess I had to edit my first post due to shop rules. Man I've been messing up everything today. Hope you don't mind))

Magic gave the bartender a tip and pointed to the new arrival at the club. A nice glass of tea was brought to him. "From the lady at the bar," the waiter said. Magic winked.

McHugh's looked a the bartender in suprise. He wasn't used to people being so kind to him. He took the cup with a smile and lifted it to the "Lady At the Bar".

He lifted the cup to his lips and let the sweet juice flood into his mouth. He downed the tea in a matter of seconds and he wiped the exess of his beak. He hadn't realized how thirsty he had been.

He sat at the table for a moment before he stood. The jazz tunes filled his senses and he doubted he would be able to talk, but he walked over to the white female at the bar nontheless. He sat on the stool next to her and ordered two more teas. When the bartender came back with his order, he handed it to the stranger and smiled.

"Hello, a drink for a drink, eh? Nice day ain't it?" He grinned.

"Well thanks, you didn't have too. I won big in a card game today," Magic said. Then she shook her head, it was rude to turn down a kind gesture. So, she drank the tea happily and repeated the word thanks. "Yes, it is quite a nice day. And a wonderful atmosphere in here. Oh yes, and I'm Magic Shop," she said. "A drink for a drink, can I also have a name for a name?"

"McHugh's bar's the name. Don't were it out" he said with a smile as he extended his hand in greeting. He wasn't used to making friends. After shaking hands he turned and looked at the band. The bands were all getting set and Mchugh's was curious to see what they were gonna be doin'.

"Come on" he stated simply as he got up from the stool.

"I'll try not to wear it out McHugh's," she said nodding. Magic left a tip at the bar and followed him. She didn't know where they were headed though.

The lights dimmed and the clock struck 11. It chimed loudly. A member of the band stood and said, "Show time".

( Before I assume, What are the instruments the band has and are they like mini versions of the human ones or are thay made of pidge materials? I'll edit this post with my response after you answer.)
[I'm gonna make it pidge materials. Trumpet is metal tubing shaped to trumpets. Saxophone is hollowed out stick in sax shape. Bass is like guitar but bigger, drums is like drums but mini.]

The band fired up their tunes and the crowd began to dance. They fast upbeat tempos had all the pidges on their feet.

McHugh's was no exception. He was dance just as feverantly as every body else. He slowly danced over to the stage and waited for the band to finish its song.

Dublin was flying as fast as he could. His friend had dissapeared and he was needed at home. The sounds of music were faintly heard by the rushing passerine but he didn't care, it didn't dawn on him that McHughs had gone to the new club. He needed to find him...it was urgent.

((I have a feeling that Pur would thumbs up if they were made of pidge materials like rubber band guitars, combs with wax paper on them (harmonica), and ect. But whatever you'd prefer is fine by me.))

((Sounds good to me))
Magic saw that McHugh's began to dance. She wasn't much of a dancer, but she remembered her parents used to be great at what they called "swing". So, she mimiced their old dance moves and let her wings fly free about the dance floor. Magic felt at peace and the music's quick-pace and energy flowed though her veins.
She was astounded by McHugh's. He was way more then meets the eye. She pointed at him and mumbled to Burning Down The House, "What a ketch."

As the band finished their first song, the bands bari sax [[Baritone Saxophone]] player stood up and walked over to McHugh's.

"Here Mac. I know how much you like it" The entertainer said. Big Band happend to be a personal friend of McHugh's.

"Oh man...naw man... I can't, BB" McHugh's said shyly. BB pulled him up onto the stage and thrust the bari sax into his hands. McHugh's took it apprehensivly. he nodded back at Magic and mouthed hold on. McHugh's looked at BB as he took his seat with the band and waited for BB to pick a song. BB looked a moment through the charts and found a worthy song.

"Wave!!!" He shouted, instantly the band broke into the song. McHugh's stuttered along for the first three bars when he realized... the bari solo. McHugh's looked at BB and he smiled as he noticed his friends plight.

Meanwhile:

Dublin alighted on the lamp post for a moment. He was tired. He needed food. He scanned the ground for a moment before he found some popcorn kernals lying on the sidwalk. He swooped upon them and gobbled them voraciously.

Burning rolled his eyes at Magic Shop. Sometimes she's was too much for him to handle. After all this "ketch" of hers was just another pidge, nothing special right? But Burning quickly changed his mind. His eyes widened as he saw Big Band hand McHugh's his sax. Any musician was a good soul in Burning's mind. He smiled at Magic and nodded.

As the song began, Burning played a light and simple tune on his guitar. Mostly low bar chords. He didn't want to take away from the sound of the sax.

Meanwhile Magic watched enthusiastically.

As the band ritarded their ending, Mchugh's' heart flopped to his stomach. The thundering Big Band laughed as he walked foward from offstage. He took the sax from Mchugh's trembling hands and smiled.

"Aw. Man that was cool!!Ahahahah" He roared with laughter. The solo hadn't been bad, it was very good actually, but BB made a point to laugh at every musical attempt of McHugh's. The wobbly male walked through the band and climbed off the stage. no sooner had he stepped foot on the dance floor did BB pull a...well BB

"ANNNNND NOW. LETS GET A HAND FOR MMMMMMMCHUUUUUUUGH'SSSSSSSSSSS AVENUUUUUUEEEEE!!!!!!" HE screamed to the the cheering crowd. McHugh's tucked his head into his chest and walked to magic.

"Sorry bout that. Didn't think BB would do that" he smiled nervously. "I like music a bit"

Magic clapped along with the crowd. "No need to apologize. It was magnificent! Music is so nostalgic to me," she said. Her mother loved rock, to the point where she went to a concert days before giving birth. Her father loved jazz, folk, and a samba every now and again. So, Magic heart raced to hear any form of music.

Magic noticed Mchugh's seemed a bit tense. "Hey would you like to get some fresh air? After all this excitement you might need it," she asked smiling.

"Sure" He said with a smile. Some fresh air would be nice. They stepped out the door and the were instantly blasted with some ince chilly air. The wind tugged at thier feathers like a child tugs on his mothers coat

"This is nice," he smiled as he sat on the lip of the bell tower. "So, what kinda work do you do?"
