Yeah, next quarter my dad'll come back from China and they'll discuss taking me back there. I really don't want to because I think China is dull and boring and I was born and raised in America so i'll be leaving all my best friends behind. Although there'll be more anime, ramen and high mini skirt uniforms *cough* just kidding just kidding laugh gawdammit! it won't seem the same. I mean I know chinese and everything so that I could speak it but I really don't think I will replace them with my friends here (including you guys I guess? But I can go to Gaia at China.) and I have to adapt to the chinese culture, I mean their streets are freaking dirty and all those homeless legless people makes me feel bad, and my most hated part of China is the freaking mosquitos <.<. There's millions of them and they just feast on my body..Oh well, my dad is thinking about buying a beach house ^_^.
Discuss:
Ever had to move somewhere and leave your friends? How did you make new friends? Did you adapt to their culture well? How did you feel about moving?

Would you be in a city?? There are good areas in a city, and the the bad areas with homeless people, dirty streets, ect. Also, mosquito's usually can't survive near the city because it is hotter than in other places... at least that's how it goes for the cities I've been to. And don't worry, everything'll turn out ok if you end up going to China, or if you end up staying in America. And besides that, things in America really aren't all that exciting!

I hope I don`t have to move away from my friends. I`m staying away from my friends until January, in Japan. I miss them a lot, but occasionally we get to chat on messenger and such. I couldn`t move China. If I was moving that far away, it`d be here. And I don`t even want to do that yet.

That's gotta be tough, to adapt to a whole new lifestyle like that...it may not be for the worst, despite having to leave your friends behind. I can't say I know of anything good about China, since I haven't been there, but I've always wanted to go there because of my Chinese background.
I guess it also depends on which part of China you'll be living at as well. I mean, like churrlo mentioned, there are the cities which are very modern but then there's also the rural areas...hrm...
I guess I wouldn't understand your current dilemma because the closest thing I've come to 'moving away' is changing schools. But I've lived in the same city for my whole life, I couldn't imagine life any other way.

Heh, well my father lives in the ghettos where everythings messed up (Although the foods really cheap and good 3nodding ) and you can just randomly see barf on the ground surrounded by flies, my aunt lives in the city where there's taller buildings and has a arcade and good stuff like that and it's pretty close to my dad's place..but i'll most likely have to live with my dad.

Awww...that sounds so different from what I'm used to. Anyway, whether or not you have to move or not, I hope things turn out for the better.
Maybe you'll be able to move back when you're more independent if you really can't stand it there.

Aww... I'm sorry to hear that... sad
Now, to answer your questions:
Ever had to move somewhere and leave your friends? How did you make new friends? Did you adapt to their culture well? How did you feel about moving?
---
I went to the Philippines (first time!) in July... I never wanted to go since I was really happy here... but, 3 days after... sadly, I got too attached (it was automatic & unexpected) with my cousins from my dad's side & I got over the feeling of "homesick".... now I miss my cousins so much. I missed my friends, yes, but I wanted to stay in the Philippines. I never wanted to walk out that door. I made new friends just by being myself. I'm quite the happy-go-lucky person & all the guy cousins got attached to me (then the girls... sweatdrop ). But I met new friends while they were at school... 3nodding
I adapted to the culture well enough to survive. 3nodding I don't really speak my language but I kept trying to learn. LOL Those were one of my best moments, were my cousins & friends would make fun of me & such! xd (and I answered your last question in the first paragraph) heart
Really though, it might take awhile for you to get adjusted and I know it's hard... But you can see that it'll be worth it in the end. heart It depends on you, actually. sweatdrop But best of luck!!

Never had to leave my friends really... I was born in New York, lived there till I was six, parents split up, mom took me to California, lived there for a few years, moved to New York for a few years, made some friends, forced to leave them to permanently move to California with my mom again and now I only go visit NY over holidays, vacation and birthdays.
Surprisingly making friends isn't that hard for me, I just like people naturally. mrgreen
The culture in NY and Cali is VERY different, it's shocking ninja but I'm use to it now.
