Well, Henry said he wanted a write up on Inuyasha, so I decided to do one. However it isn't quite finished, just posting to say I'll give it a go instead of everyone else wondering whose doing it, but I'll finish soon if everyone thinks it's fine. And while I am a HUGE Inuyasha fans, I tried desperately to keep it inside the box of his shown abilities, but I'm also aware the American audience hasn't seen up to the Kongosouha, so I hope no one is a regularly of the show, if you are, then don't read this without realizing it has SPOILERS IN IT! Tell me what you think!
Inuyasha
Strength: An ill defined stat of Inuyasha's indeed. He has shown the ability to hold at least a boulder up while getting hit with four or more back breaking spells (Kagome's sit). (Episode 11: Terror of the Ancient Noh Mask). His attacks like the Wind Scar easily turn boulders and sometimes (thought not as easily) mountains to dust, as shown in his battle against Ryuukotsuei. (Episode 54, Tetsaiga's Ultimate attack: Bakuryuuha). He lifts up a tree and stuffs it into the Bone Eater's Well to stop Kagome from coming back. Later in the same episode he lifts the tree out of the well and tosses it into the mouth of Ryokan. All this still while suffering the effects of Sesshomaru's poisons. (Episode 19: Go back to your own time Kagome.)
Speed: Inuyasha's speed is one of his more ill-defined attributes. He was able to keep up with and outrun a truck. (Episode 11, Terror of the Ancient Noh Mask) and normal humans can't seem to trace his movements well judging by the fact that he snatched a volleyball from mid air without any of the players catching anything other than a red blur. (Movie 3: Sword of the Honorable Ruler). Also, Kouga, who moves fast enough to create a tornado effortlessly, has trouble outdoing Inuyasha in speed. Not much, but trouble as shown in the fight against Juromaru and Kageromaru (Episode 46: Juromaru and Kaguromaru).
Durability/Endurance: An anime character that definitely takes his fair share of hits, Inuyasha's durability is incredible. In the battle against Ryuukotsuei, he takes a blast of lightning which plows him into a mountain and gets back up, ready to continue fighting (Episode 54, Tetsaiga's Ultimate attack: Bakuryuuha). In one of his earlier fights he gets stabbed by his brother's poisonous claws (Which eat through bone as well as cause ill effects to the body) in the middle of night, is unconscious, but is later walking around and fighting demons with about half his normal strength. (Episode 18 Naraku and Sesshomaru join forces.) To further his durable qualities, Inuyasha also survived being hit with his own attack, while he was in critical condition, he was able to survive. (Episode 43 Broken Tetsaiga at last). In another of his early fights, he forfeits the use of his sword and punches Hiten of the Thunder Brothers while getting at least one thousand volts of electricity sent through his body with little, if any strain. (Episode 10: Phantom Showdown) In the final episode, Inuyasha stood as barefoot as ever in the belly of a beast whose acid ate through Kagome's shoes in seconds (Final Episodes 166-167 special). Inuyasha was also sent into a realm where meteors floated before him, and there were heat waves as well as lava flowing around. He touched things and moved around easily when an unknown voice said the flames would be great enough to destroy any normal demon in an instant. (Movie 4: Fire on Crimson Hourai Island) while he contributed part of this to the robe of the Fire rat, his hands and feet were not covered at the time, and he was able to blink and talk easily with no strain. In the fight against Housenki Senior Inuyasha was tossed some 200+ feet into the air and plummeted back down to hit the ground face first. He recovered only a little while later able to fight his fullest. (Episode 156: Battle before the Tomb! Sesshomaru vs. Inuyasha) Later, in the same episode, Inuyasha is stabbed with the sharp demon energy made spears of Housenki and takes a punch from his brother (Sesshomaru) without major injury. In the saga of Seven Man Bandits (Shincinnintai) he fought the final battle against Bankotsu directly after fighting Jakotsu, who stabbed him twice and cut him a total of eight times as a human, not counting the final break away from her snake blade he did, then continously took punches from Bankotsu to figure out where the shards of the Shikon Jewel were. After Bankotsu was defeated he took a rest for only two minutes before attacking a newly formed Naraku head on with the Kaze no Kizu. After it was reflected he blocked it and then went to save Kouga without the protection from Naraku's poisonous Demonic aura that the Robe of the Fire rat gave him. (Episdoes: 119-124.) He also fought against an underwater Sprite that had him at a severe disadvantage and managed to keep holding his breath for at least ten minutes before defeating the beast. (Episode: 27 The Lake Of The Evil Water God)
Intellect: Not extremely intelligent. He creates spur of the moment strategies for winning some fights, but they either don't work or he never uses them again
Fighting Skill: Not exactly sure what to put here, but I'll give it a shot (if I know what your asking). Inuyasha swings his sword around like an angry child, and he never really is shown to have a great mastery of sword styles, but he does blow most of the competition out of the water by his offhand and reckless tactics. Example: As I previously said, in his fight against Hiten of the Thunder Bros. He for went use of a blade to just punch Hiten in the face while getting at least 1000 volts.
Techniques/Powers: Wind Scar, able to take down 100 low level demons at once, and wound a higher level demon, if not destroy them. The Bakuryuuha reflects the power of demons by Inuyasha latching onto the specific demonic aura and then tossing the power back 10 fold. The Kongosouha, an attack that is more recent, is when Inuyasha's blade turns slightly crystallized and then unleashes phantom energy (as in dark) in the form of diamond like shards, which are able to tear through the belly of a demon that withstood the Wind Scar. His most recent and by far most deadly attack has only made an appearance in the 4th movie. It is named Kongoryuuha, it is a combination of the Bakuryuuha and Kongosouha as implied by the name. While it's specific abilities are not yet pinned down, it takes the shards of phantom energy that Inuyasha fires from Kongosouha, and adds them with a the huge typhoon shape of the Backlash wave. While it seems to reflect attacks, it doesn't seem like Inuyasha is limited to just demons anymore, as he reflects the collective attacks of three GODS. Without using his blade he has two techniques, the Sankon Tessou which blasts blade made of some kind of yellow energy (perhaps his demonic aura, better known as Youki/Jyaki) and the Higen Tessou, the Blades of Blood which he uses when he's bleeding to turn his blood into razor sharp blades able to cut through Phoenixes at least.
Gear: Robe of the Fire Rat, which seems to protect him from weaker weapons and tools, but against Sesshomaru level and higher opponents, it obviously has not chance of protecting him from most injury. The Tetsaiga sheath, which maxed out at holding off the thunder pike in the early episodes. And the Tetsaiga, which allows him control of wind and most recently phantom powers.( Episode 157: Pierce Through Naraku! Kongosouha!)

Just one quick point. The statement you made about Inu-Yasha being able to snatch a volleyball out of midair without the players seeing it is not canon, considering that it is from a movie and not the actual anime.

What is it about movies being non canon? (I wasn't trying to be mean, just asking). While it's true the movies aren't included in the manga, Rumiko works on the anime and the idea for all the movies came from her, so it's canon as it's by the creator. We know at least the third movie's idea came from her because how Inutaisho is reflected in the manga makes sense and they even reference Sou'unga later in the manga.

But that doesn't mean that it's the only thing you can go by. I mean Naruto's creator did both the anime and manga, his movie was COMPLETELY his idea, that's CANON. I could understand if the movies didn't fit into the story lines like a DBZ movie or something, but Inuyasha movies do, as Menomaru from the first movie held Jewel shards, since Naraku later completed the jewel we know he's included, and the same thing applies to the flashes made later in the series of Inuyasha's father from the third movie. Not including non-canon movies is part of the facts.

As long as the movies perfectly fit into the storyline, then it's debatable whether to include it or not. But the argueable side of the story is that even if the movie perfectly fits into the stroyline and is based on the same concepts by the creator, it is not a part of the actual series. I wouldn't mind including movie examples if they fit into the series good enough, but many don't see it that way, unfortunately.

It's just so hard to find a good speed feat for Inuyasha, and the Fourth movie unveiled a new technique so I was hoping to keep that up to, but oh well. Thanks for commenting though!

I hope no one was planning on doing a Sesshomaru write up, if you were then you can still post it I suppose, or tell me if I messed up on something. Well, feel free to comment.
Sesshomaru
Strength : Sesshomaru’s strength, like his brother’s, is not well defined. We do speculate that he is stronger in all aspects of physical being than his brother Inuyasha, as he easily out does him in speed and hurts him much easier than Inuyasha hurts him. One note of strength Sesshomaru has shown is the ability to stab straight through his brother’s protective Kimono (which can only be pierced by special weaponry, like holy arrows or a sword with increased power) and his stomach all in one swoop. (Episode 18: Naraku and Sesshomaru join forces.)
Speed: A slightly easier stat of Sesshomaru’s to observe. Sesshomaru has enough speed to leave slight after images with ease. (Episode 6: Tessaiga, the Phantom Sword). His fastest speeds have never been observed as so far no one in Inuyasha rivals his speed (Except maybe Kouga, but they probably won’t fight much, if at all.) Also, he was once bombarded by several army men carrying guns. They took aim and fired at him as he boredly watched them, as soon as they had fired he lifted up his hand with incredible speed, made the whip of Light and knocked every single one of the eight-ten bullets back to the soldier that fired them. (Episode 133-134 Special: The Woman Who Loved Sesshomaru).
Durability/Endurance: Sesshomaru can take a LOT of punishment and stand to fight for quite a while. Directly after Inuyasha sliced off his left arm he fled to a war zone and sliced apart several soldiers with the Whip of Light, then, right after managing to find a resting spot he was bombarded by the men with guns. (Episode 133-134 Special: The Woman Who Loved Sesshomaru). Also, when fighting the newly formed Naraku Sesshomaru used a Soryuuha which was reflected back at him by Naraku’s barrier, then, standing still and not even straining he let the Soryuuha’s power die down. (Episode 124: Farewell My Dear Kikyo.) In the manga, he fought Mouryomaru for two chapters, and in the third his blade Tokijin broke which was perhaps the only thing that slowed down his assault. (Manga chapters: 405-40 cool . He fired off a large amount of Soryuuha’s against Naraku when in his father’s tomb the second time and tried to break his barrier, but even winded after the amount he fire. (Episode 156: Battle before the Tomb, Sesshomaru vs. Inuyasha!)
Intellect: Sesshomaru is very crafty and calculating. He has managed to surprise Naraku with his strength and cunning. He figured out that the way to stop the giant cat was to use Tenseiga to bring it’s body back to the world of the living. (Episode 77: Hyounekozoku and the two teeth sword.). He also figured out to use the Tenseiga when fighting the ogres blocking his path to the tomb of Inutaisho. (Episode 155: The Devil that Guards the Shikon Shard) Fighting Skill: Sesshomaru, when fighting against an actually challenging opponent, shows his incredible fighting prowness. Against Moryoumaru he was almost over powered and absorbed, but gave a very good challenge before Inuyasha stepped in.
Techniques/Powers:
Whip of Light: Sesshomaru’s lesser used weapons after Tokijin. This is a visible green colored whip of energy that has enough power to slice through a pack of wolves and knock back bullets. It’s extended by his right index finger turning green at the tip and then he swings it around and a whip shape appears and forms. (Episode 5: Aristocratic Assassin, Sesshomaru).
Soryuuha: The blue waves of energy that Tokijin unleashes, which in it’s final form is a dragon of lightning energy. This technique is very useful as it can destroy incredibly powerful things, it’s power is as greater than the Tessaiga before the Bakuryuuha, and most likely equal to Inuyasha’s present day Kaze no Kizu. (Episode 45: Sesshomaru wields Tokijin & Movie 4: Fire on Crimson Island- proof of power) Note- Though he didn’t choose to get Tokijin reforged after it was broken, Toutosai, the swordsmith, still holds onto Tokijin.
Healing Tenseiga: The blade Sesshomaru inherited from his father creates a protective aura that will make sure Sesshomaru doesn’t die. It also allows him to revive those that have fallen by cutting the spiritual creatures that will take them to the afterlife.
Meidou Zangetsuha: Sesshomaru’s newest technique, introduced in the manga, reverses the power of revival that Tenseiga has, and allows it to instantly send anything to the afterlife. Even things that heal or be destroyed are still affected by it’s power, thus far he hasn’t mastered the technique but it’s still far stronger than even Inuyasha’s Dragon Scale Tessaiga. (Manga chapter: 425) Text Proof Gear: Text Proof Notes: History:
Well, I shall finish later, but if anyone else feels like adding a write up on an Inuyasha character yeah….Feel free to do that, I’m all alone in the Inu section.

Anouther Movie example is In the second movie, Inuyasha pumps his legs fast enough to run across the surface of water and pivots, and reverses directions, while fighting water serpent... things.
This is of course assuming Inuyasha movies fit in Cannon... which is kinda hard to tall, casue the series is SO long.

Proof? You keep saying that, but it's not true. (To my knowledge) I have researched and such, and I have found lighting to be composed of light and sound. The reason you see it before you hear it, is bc LS is faster then the SoS. Half of LS would put him at: 93,141.199 mps
