YOU HAVE CERTAINLY TAKEN YOUR TIME. said a black-robed being, floating in front of Lucian. Tiny blue lights emanated from his eyeless sockets, and his sickle shined an eerie blueish-silver.

"Piss off. I never intended to have to give myself to save someone else." He'd look about himself, then shrug. "I plan on leaving this place as soon as possible. Keep tellin' people I had a plan if I died, n' I do. So either send me back or I'm releasing Zadkiel. Simple as that."

He'd snicker to himself and run his hands through his hair before flinging the intangible halo on his head given his ability to touch it, a power possessed by only himself, Melaina and Zadkiel. "Freakin' ignorant entities..."

Death sighed, walking up to him.
HOW TROUBLESOME. he said simply, plucking it from his head with little resistance. With one skeletal hand, he broke it in half. KNOW YOUR PLACE. NORMALLY, I PREFER TO BE KIND. YOU ARE DEAD, LUCIAN. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO CHALLENGE ME TO ONE CONTEST FOR A SECOND CHANCE, OR YOU CAN WAIT HERE FOR AS LONG AS YOU LIVED, IT IS UP TO YOU.
((It should be noted that in terms of 'power level', Death is the strongest entity yet directly encountered.))

The shadow that shade had dropped in Lucian's pocket pulsed slightly, as if trying to get Lucian's attention. Unlike most tangible items, this one you could take with you.

The halo would simply form again after breaking into what would be a toxic gas to most, though it had formed rather quickly given his "order." He'd look to his pocket and smile before slipping his hand into it. "Honestly it really doesn't matter why she helped, and continues to help me. What does matter is that she DOES."
He'd then reach up with his free hand and itch his ear before flicking some wax at the entity. "You're not the one I hold a contract with. That contract alone is a clause in my ceasing to live. This contest thing...you mean to tell me that Bill & Tedd were right? 'Cause if so then I think 'Battleship' would get me out of here." Having been a fan of idiotic antics all his life he found this predicament most amusing.

NO. THIS IS A CONTEST OF MY CHOOSING, ONE THAT I WOULD THINK WOULD BE MOST FAIR. FOR YOU... A SHARPSHOOTING TEST WOULD BE MOST APPLICABLE. HOWEVER, IT SEEMED MY... EMPLOYEE HAS DECIDED YOU ARE OF SPECIAL MERIT.
"Hey, Bones, how's it hanging?" a green skull of fire asked, floating into the area.
SPIRAL, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
"To make the dude an offer, why else? He's perfect. No respect for authority, strong conviction...." the skull floated over to the boy, looking at the halo.
"I can give you more power than that." he said. "You don't have to serve me or anything, so the two of use aren't mutually exclusive."

He'd jump from his seat and point at Death. "******** that man, that ain't fair to you! How about a game of 'Clue?' Seems fair as hell to me." He'd then notice the green skull and arch a brow. "Or the surfer skeleton here could spin the 'Twister' table for us!"
Looking to the new skeleton he'd have to ask himself why skeletons, of all things, had so much power. "Note to self: Break femur of stupid one..." He'd slip under his breath before quickly clearing his throat. "What power? The hell are you? I'd ask why me, but you answered that...the ******** do I need more power for? I'm corrupt enough as it is; becoming something like Kain would REALLY piss me off. Is there anything to ********' drink up here? I don't know if I'm actually thirsty, I just know I like drinking..."

"...So no 'Twister?' God damn, and I thought Zadkiel was no fun. Look, I don't give a damn who hates who. In the end Kain's just easily hated, and if not hated he's freakin' worshiped. It's just his personality; it's that aura of demanding charisma about him. He beat Death as so many often do anymore and if you have a problem with em' Mr. ********, then he probably made an a** of you too. He's never made an a** of me or defied me, he simply fights me. He doesn't fight dirty, either. Besides, I have the power of God. I can create at will. The ******** do you have to offer beyond that?" He'd then turn to Death. "Seriously, nothing to drink?"

"...That's a whole lott'a blah blah blah to me. I couldn't give less of a damn about power beyond a God since I got the power OF God and...wait, hold up. Unlimited energy?" He'd more or less stand firm and cross his arms as something had finally been said to really catch his attention. "As in the ability to create as much as I want without fainting again; as in the ability to maintain my Celestial Form for more then five minutes?" A grin would spread across his lips.
"That's way too much power for one man to have but man is it tempting...I'd be on par with who I need to be on par with, Melaina would be protected and I'd be able to free - and fix - Lord Zadkiel. Yeah, I could go for that...but not so easily." He'd put his hand back in his pocket, then point to Death. "All right ya green Halloween decoration, I need to leave here and he's in the way. If you want a deal with me then there ain't a way in hell I'm saying yes or no until I consult with Melaina."

The skull went into thought.
"Well, you'd have to be kinda creative because you can't run Spiral and Celestial at the same time, but if you pumped yourself up like a living battery..." he nodded, "Yeah. It's entirely possible. Tell you what." he took off his sunglasses again, they shrank, down to Lucian's size. "Put these on as a 'yes' sign." he said. "Since it'll be hard to contact you with her around."
He smiled. "Oh, and when you see Kain... give him this, for me." he flipped off Lucian, then vanished like smoke.
