Name: Suzuki Tetsue (Soo-Zoo-Key, Teh-Tsoo-eh)
Aliases/ Nicknames: She calls herself "Tsu-chan" at times, but otherwise she has no nicknames
Physical Description: Tetsue is a a very thin girl that has some small curves.Due to Blu-chan's inability to draw flat chested girl's, Tetsue is larger than expected. She has slightly defined muscles, standing at about 4.11, making her, in blunt terms, short. Her eyes are a bright teal, contrasting with her hair.the best way to describe her hair is to say it is a 'scene' style. Her hair is choppy and a watermelon pink, with a peek-a-boo shadow in black. She loves playing with extensions and haircolor when she isn't busy, and no, the pink is not dyed. It is natural. The bangs are uneven and choppy as well, covering her right eye. Her skin is pale, and she normally has a sly smile on her face. She can often be found wearing thick rimmed black glasses when she is reading. She has a slight darkening of the rims of her eyes not only due to the fact she always wears eyeliner, but she is an insomniac who rarely sleeps, yet functions that way. If she does sleep, it will be during the daytime. There is a burn scar that stretches from her right shoulder down to her lower back on the left side. Thought it has long since healed, it is still about four inches thick. She appears to be in her late teens (19 is her death age), but she is actually 21 including the years after she died.
Zanpacto: Meinoumi Giman (Three-Fold Deception)
Sealed Form: Tetsue's Zanpacto is a long curved Katana with a black and silver threaded hilt that has a long thin piece of paper attached to the end, (Similiar to Sode no Shiraykui). The tsuba is a a trisele, basically meaning that it would be comprised of three spirals in a triangle like formation.
Shikai: Not achieved
Release: Divide and Conquer, Meinoumi Giman.
In Shikai form, the sword tunrs into Meinoumi Giman, a small, silver kama, or scythe. The paper attached to the end of Tetsue's original zanpakuto spilts into three pieces. One of these pieces moves directly to her neck, resting like a second necklace. The other two pieces form small origami figures that look like weasels.
Shikai abilities: Manipulates wood, often in the form of paper. Meinoumi Giman always has three or more 'parts', but not all of the parts are usefull in every state. In Shikai form these parts are the weapon itself, the piece of paper at Tetsue's neck, and the two origami figures. One who knew Tetsue well and could sense the level of her reiatsue would be able to able to see a small sleeping ferret (a type of weasel) curled around her neck instead of a piece of paper. The scythe is as light and sharp as paper, but causes minimal damage due to the fact it is built for rapid attacks, not strong attacks. With every blow landed by the weapon, the scythe turns a lighter color. This is cause by the fact that 25% of all of Tetsue's reiatsu directed toward an attack is automatically stored by Meinoumi Giman. Once it turns white the scythe and weasels will turn into many pieces of small white paper that Tetsue can either launch an attack with, or use to trap her opponent for a short amount of time by wrapping it around them, similiar to a mummy. Normally this is only used around their arms or legs to render them helpless for a period of time, not their whole body.*
*Obviously, even if this is made of reiatsu reinforced paper, it can be broken. Attacking with the pieces of paper is called "Kami Fubuki". ('paper' and 'blizzard'). The use of the paper to restrain someone is properly called "Kami Tsutsumimasu" but Tetsue is a bit lazy when it comes to names, so she calls it "Kami Tsutsumu" (both meaning 'paper' and 'wrap up').
Bankai: (the release here is bakai, of course, but the name of the sword changes to Kekkyoku Giman (Ultimate Deception)) Not acheived
In Bankai form, Meinoumi Giman changes it's name and shape again. Now the paper on Tetsue's neck is a realistic ferret, still made of paper, and her scythe changes into a large white weasel with a scythe like tail. Just as in Shikai form, Tetsue can use both Kami Fubuki and Kami Tsutsumimasu, but both abbilities are more effective. Both weasels (or ferrets if you wish to be specific) are made from paper and can dissipate completely (or in parts) at Tetsue's command. With each transformation, her bankai becomes a bit weaker. Another defensive technique, achtivated by the call of "Kamisama, Mamorimasu!" causes the large weasel (it is about 20 feet long), to dissipate and form a large strong shield, reinforced by Tetsue's reiatsu. This technique doesn't really have a name, it is simply Tetsue commanding 'Kamisama' (her name for the large weasel) to protect her and others. The last technique that Tetsue's Bankai has is a very small, but important one. She simply says "Chibi, Iku." This allows the small ferret (Chibi-Kamisama, as dubbed by Tetsue) to go heal minor wounds of her oppenent. Kekkyoku Giman is constantly draining small amounts of Tetsue's reiatsu, so in order to use bankai efficiently, she must learn to conserve reiatsu.
Other Zanpacto Notes: Tetsue's zanpakto is mainly based upon Kamaitachi, hence the importance of three (in Bankai Tetsue herself is considered the third weasel) and other references to weasels when I am RPing her. This is also the reasoning for the small weasel, Chibi's ability to heal smalled papercuts created by Tetsue. (this technique is rarely used). Tetsue's Zanpacto can be used for combat but is more suited to the defense and detainment of others.
Special Accessories: Tetsue almost always is wearing glasses. a necklace with three bells, and a snakebite piercing. She also has a small backpack that has a book and at least one O-Fuda, a small omikuji box, an extra pair of glasses, hair clips, hair bands, extra lip rings, junk food (chocolate yatsuhashi, suckers, soda etc), a diary, a sketch book, a book of lined paper with half wriiten songs in it, and writing/drawing utensils.
Skills: Tetsue is knowledgeable about the Shinto religion, and she learns quickly. She has an innate ability to tell whether or not someone should be trusted, but she has gone against her instincts before, and sometimes they prove to be false. She was able to sense hollows when she was alive and her spiritual awareness is now at the point she can accurately judge a hollow/soul reaper’s power level. She is a good actress when she wants to fool someone. Lastly, she enjoys many things that inculde paper or music, such as allowing people to get a fortune form her omikuji box, creating useless fuda, sketching scenes/people, and composing music.
Abilities: Tetsue is working on her physique, but her biggest stregth and weakness is her size. She is moderately fast, can dodge many attacks, and can fit in extremely small places, due to her size and extreme flexibilty. Her fellow students in both the living world and that of the dead would joke that she could become a contortionist. This ability allows her to counter attacks in unexpected ways. The problem with Tetsue's size and that if she is hit by an attack, it takes a lot less to hurt her than it would with someone of larger size and equal stamina. An attack that is moderately difficult to counter (force wise) could potentially send Tetsue flying into a wall at this point. Also, she is quite farsighted, being able to see things that are at a long distance away from her though sometimes nearby objects become blurred. She wears glasses to stop this problem by increasing her ability to see close objects and decresing her ability to see far away objects.
Personality: Tetsue was a very shy girl when she was younger. Being a Miko meant being secluded from many people, resulting in an extreme lack of social knowledge when it came to conversing with normal people. As she grew up more Tetsue became an intelligent, but outspoken girl. She wasn’t afraid to lash out if she didn’t appreciate someone’s comment.
She puts up a few fronts to guard her ‘true’ self from others. The first is her physical appearance which normally keeps many people away from her, though she is nice. The second is a very care-free, mischievous and utterly fake personality. Tetsue won’t change this personality even if someone figures out that she’s kidding, unless she feels extremely threatened by them, or if she wants the person to know what she’s really like. When alone, or around people she deeply trusts, Tetsue is often mature, calm, and reflective. She also has an extreme respect for her elders and superiors that was hammered into her as a child, except when it comes to motherly figures.
Lastly, she will never put herself before others in a fighting situation. If someone needs to be a distraction, Tetsue is there. She knows she isn't "strong" enough to protect many people. so she makes up for it with her willingness to help in other ways. She enjoys friendly sparring, but not killing.
Biography: Tetsue was born the daughter of a priest who presided over a Hokura, or very small Shinto shrine. Her mother was a miko, but after marrying, she could no longer be a miko, leaving the young girl with her ill father. The young girl was put to work cleaning the shrine, helping the few visitors that stopped by, learning about O-Fuda, Omikuji, Kami and other such things when she was old enough. This helped hone her natural spiritual abilities.
When Tetsue’s father’s health took a sharp turn downwards, the girl was sent off to school in Tokyo. She was introduced into the modern world by several different people who found her hair color interesting. It wasn’t long until she started to express herself through her dress and appearance. She cut her waist long hair into a shorter style that was more managable, as well as noticable. She was considered too serious by her classmates when she began speaking of high level philosophical concepts, so she formed an alternate personality for the public. Even after she died this substitute personality lived on.
Tetsue had always been loyal to her father, visiting him regularly. She worked in order to help pay for his hospital bills. At the age of seventeen, during one of her visits to her father he gave Tetsue a necklace with three small bells, each with a specific pitch. He said he was saving it for her graduation, but he didn’t want to wait that long. He died the next day.
This sent the young girl into a spin. Her grades plummeted for the first quarter of the year, until she decided that her father wouldn’t be pleased if he had ruined her future by dying. She still graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She wanted to take a year off to help others in the community before going to college, so she decided to live in and volunteer at the local orphanage.
The orphanage became the girl’s passion. Tetsue loved working with the kids, and would give up anything for them. One night, part of the building had caught on fire. In the hectic turn of events, a burning plank fell towards a child. Tetsue jolted, guarding the small boy, but causing the plank to hit her instead. She was not greatly injured, but the scar remained to remind her of what she had decided to dedicate her life to. A year and a half after working at the orphanage, the pink haired girl contracted the same sickness as her father. Not knowing if it was contagious, Tetsue left, going to the shrine she had grown up in, knowing it was rarely visited.
The girl took care of herself until she could barely stand for a minute. An older couple, friends of the family, that came every few years to visit the shrine recognized Tetsue,. They knew that her illness was not contagious, but they could pay for it to be treated. She was taken to the nearest hospital but it was too late. She died on the second year anniversary of her father’s death.
